Warthogs

Even though Harry Potter has officially ended, its legacy still lives on. Just take a look at the countless merchandise and spin-offs that remain. Speaking of spin-offs, Warthogs is one of the many tribute/parody games celebrating the story of the young boy wizard. The game was created by Crystal Shard and is a few years old but trust me, every second is still worth playing. In it, you play as Larry Lotter, a slacker who's about to take his final exam. The only problem is that Larry spent the entire night partying and is now late for class. Warthogs combines sarcasm with innovative gameplay and great graphics to bring you an exciting, almost offensive Harry Potter parody you'll certainly enjoy.

Candy Train

If you were into PopCap games back then, then you must have remembered Candy Train at some point. This simple but entertaining game was a staple on the PopCap roster. In fact, it was even available as a flash game on their website. Fast forward to now and this addictive game is available as a free download for the iPhone and iPad. The game was released under PopCap's "indie label," 4th & Battery where they promised to deliver edgier and experimental games. I'm not so sure if you can call Candy Train edgy or experimental but one thing's for sure, it definitely has the charm of a PopCap title: making you want to do nothing but keep playing.

iBall3D

iBall3D is actually the latest remake of the old classic game, Labyrinth. Instead of the old graphics, you get an updated gameplay and the game in full 3D. Gameplay is similar though; you need to guide a ball from one point of the map to another. The game was created by Stone Trip, and it features great graphics as well as excellent gameplay that will get players hooked into playing it. The perfect combination of puzzle solving and agility will ultimately help you to win this game. Give it a try. iBall3D works on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It's also available as a free download right under the Mac App Store.

Forget-Me-Not

If you follow the latest iOS games quite faithfully, then you must have stumbled across Forget-Me-Not. This exciting game has been winning praises and scoring countless of minions ever since its initial release. Unfortunately, the game came with a price -$1.99 a pop at the iTunes App store - and was only offered for iOS devices, well, that is until recently. Yep, the game is now available for download for Windows and Mac users. Plus, it's all for free! With additional features incorporated, this retro arcade Pacman-type game is destined to become an even bigger hit thanks to these new formats.

Stupidness 2

If you're one of those brain geeks who like to take IQ tests or match wits with a computer once in awhile to see who's smarter, then you might want to grab Stupidness 2. This fun IQ game will throw you brain melting questions that'll make you think twice about your own intellect. The game features 35 questions, some of them are quite easy to answer while others will definitely leave you scratching your head. Created by Orangenose Studios, the game offers a PRO version with more questions to the roster, but trust me, this free version is more than enough to make your nose bleed in certain instances.

Chicktionary

Chicktionary is essentially TextTwist with chickens. For the uninitiated, TextTwist is a popular word game that was created by GameHouse and runs in Java. As mentioned, Chicktionary is similar to TextTwist in that you have to come up with words using a provided set of letters. The only difference with this one is that you get clucking chickens who "hatch" the letters to form the words. Created by Blockdot. Inc, the game used to be offered for $1.99 when it first came out but currently it's being offered for free on the App Store. If you're up for some fun and maybe testing your vocabulary, give the game a go.

Tiny Ball vs. Evil Devil

Here's another cool game to add to your favorite iOS device. Tiny Ball vs. Evil Devil is an interesting physics based game that tests out your aiming and strategy skills. The objective is to help the little blue ball get his ship back from the evil red guy. Developed by iTankster, the game is currently available as a free download over at the App Store. Thanks to its colorful graphics and fun yet challenging gameplay, you're guaranteed to keep playing this game for hours on end.

Survival

What would you do if you're a highschool student who wakes up from a deep slumber to find out you're the only one left at school? What's worse is that there are blue ghosts coming after you! Survival places you in the shoes of Satoshi, a highschool student who falls asleep during class to wake up that her school is deserted and infested with blue ghosts that are out to kill her. This adventure horror game isn't that long but you'll definitely have fun with it. The game is offered absolutely free. Simply hit the download game link right above the image if you want to give this one a try.

Euthanasia

Euthanasia might not be the next big horror game to watch out for, but it's certainly worth looking into. The game is offered as as free download and initially came out last year. In the game, you play as Shaun Randall, a retired military servicemen who ends up leading a boring, albeit slightly normal life; that is, until you are euthanised and killed. Then you start seeing the weird and the creepy, leaving you with a confusing but all too real dream. The latest version works great but you have to manually replace certain patches in order to make it fully playable. Despite the slight trouble of manually doing this, the game is certainly a must-try.
