His Statue Falls: Collisions Remixed

His Statue Falls is a unique band in that they combine various genres to weed out their own characteristic sound. Mixing techno, screamo, pop and breakdowns; the German group dubbed their sound as "techcore." Music catches on fast and soon they were playing at more than 150 shows and other groups started to create a similar sound. Not to be deterred, the band pushed forward and continue to mold their music according to their taste. Collisions Remixed is based off their debut record and contains a spin off of some of their best tracks from the album.

Hey, Sleeper: We Fell Asleep in Winter and Woke Up in June

We Fell Asleep in Winter and Woke Up in June might be a mouthful for an album title but it nevertheless, easily depicts the mood set out by this mini compilation. Created by singer/songwriter Luke Roberts or better known as Hey, Sleeper; the short record features acoustic tracks done by the artist. Filled with simple and heartwarming melodies, these are the kind of songs you'll want with you on a quiet afternoon. The mini EP was released on BandCamp last June 2012 and currently offered as a free download.

Much like putting on an indie film soundtrack, Songs from Indian Lakes is brimming with one easy listening cut after another. The album contains three remixed and remastered singles from their previous album along with two tracks from their upcoming release. With carefully orchestrated compositions and solid instrument work, their songs flourish with personality that's difficult to deny a listen.

Haujobb: Let’s Drop Bombs

Sounding like you just stepped inside a Rob Zombie discotheque, Haujobb is a cool band that definitely knows their way around haunting industrialtechno music. Let's Drop Bombs contains 9 upbeat tracks that feature a vast array of electronic rock and alternative touches throughout. Made up of Dejan Samardzic (arrangements, production,) Daniel Myer (arrangements, vocals) and Manuel g. Richter (synths, noises, drums) joins them for live performances; the album is one masterful record that deserves a pedestal.

Racing Glaciers

Describing themselves as a band that mostly writes about "rivers and nighttime," Racing Glaciers makes for an intriguing yet slightly offbeat group. This self-titled album features 6 cuts that range from slow indie folk rock to electro infused alternative cuts. Gathering influences from Led Zeppelin, Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, Death Cab for Cutie and Pink Floyd to name a few; the band consists of Tim Monaghan, Danny Thorpe, Matt Scheepers, and Simon Millest.

Baptman: Under The Influence

Serving as a mixtape for the indie film, Influencers; Baptman's Under the Influence serves as a beautiful gateway to the film and its idealogy. The film discusses how trends today are easily spread and digested, whether its in fashion, music or entertainment. Taking this premise, Baptman infuses his sound with beautiful electronica, hip hop, jazz, indie and even rock elements while also sprinkling inspiring lyrics here and there.

Chris Rubeo: Ships of Sticks and Twine EP

Chris Rubeo's music is the kind you'd normally hear at some quiet coffee shop as you enjoy your cup of joe and soak in the good day. The short EP is comprised of 5 simple tracks that flourish with great harmonies, interesting instruments and a beautiful, laid back vibe. The Boston singer not only sings solo but also performs for another sweet band called, The Sparrows. Ships of Sticks and Twine was released last September 2011 and offered as a free download over at the singer's BandCamp page.

Coroner for the Police: Swamp Box

Despite being a new band (they formed in the early part of 2012,) Coroner for the Police already has a knack for capturing the listener's attention. Thanks to their upbeat and loud indie rockish sound, it's easy to jive along to their music. The four piece Manchester crew is made up of Dave Labrow , Nathan Kai Wright, John Simm and Dan Woolfie. Swamp Box is their first EP and was released last May 2012. They have plans of creating another short compilation by the end of the year.
