Krimelo’s Siamese Enemies

Need a game that you can play with your best bud? Siamese Enemies should be right up your alley. It's a twisted but pretty cool game from leading Swiss indie developer, Krimelo. In the game, you play one half of a Siamese twin. Your mom just wants one baby so you have to fight over who gets the most organs before you actually reach the hospital to get separated. Sounds a bit sick? Well, yeah, it sort of is, but it's sure great fun to play. Give it a try and you'll know what I mean.

The Marionette

What if you suddenly wake up in front of an unfamiliar house after opening an ordinary looking package? Enter Martin, he's a bachelor and sculptor that specializes in human figures. He creates puppets. One day he was just going about his day when he suddenly finds himself transported into a world somewhere between dreams and reality. He must explore, figure out why and find out how to escape this place once and for all. The Marionette is a spooky free game that features superb graphics as well as very tight storyline. It's a traditional 2D point and click adventure game that was developed using AGS (Adventure Game System.) If you're in for a really good chilling adventure, then you're in for a real treat with this one.

Sp. A.I

"In the near future, the online world decides the fate for reality. He who controls the digital controls all of humanity. In this battle for information enter Aiva, a hacking program that does battle on the information super highway, whose task is to access the enemy’s mainframe and shut it down." So goes the premise of this cool 3D puzzler game, Sp. A. I. Created by 5 third year uni students from Queensland, this cool game lets you play as a cyber detective hacking your way through a computer network. Pretty much, you try and break down firewalls, decrypt passwords or simply avoid triggering any of the security systems inside this neon cyberspace. It's an interesting game that features bright colors, low key sounds and awesome game elements. Definitely a must -play for all you game junkies out there.

Dash and the Stolen Treasure

Dash and the Stolen Treasure is a cool platformer made by 5 university students, namely, Joel Roset, Josep Catala, Marc Veiga, Marcos Herraiz and Carles Fernandez. All of them are from Spain. Dash and the Stolen Treasure contains fun gameplay and simple yet entertaining game design. Because of this, it's hard not to compare it to another classic platformer, Crash Bandicoot. Instead of a sly bandicoot though, you get to play, Dash, a pirate who is afraid of the water for some reason. Even though he's just a kid, he seems to have collected all sorts of treasure with him. Unfortunately, his treasure gets stolen by a nasty gang, the Blind Shark Pirates! Our hero then sets off on an adventure to recover his lost treasures, collect coins and exact his revenge.

Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave

Simplicity is beauty. However, Activate the Three Artefacts (sic) and then Leave takes this concept to a whole new level. The game places you inside a world filled with various lines that form and create optical illusions. Your objective is to find and activate three objects so you can escape from this chaotic world of mazes. Although it might seem like a simple game, it will definitely drive you to your wits end. Developed by Increpare Games, the game incorporates a mindnumbing maze, ambient sounds and a wickedly sinister gameplay. Give your puzzle solving skills a good exercise by playing this crazy but entertaining game.

Cygnus

If you think that a game with a bunch of colorful lines doesn't deserve to be called a "game" at all, then Cygnus just might change all that. Now, in a world where competing for realism is what sells most video games, Cygnus attempts to stand apart. This deceptively simple game will actually give you quite a good challenge. In the game, you are left to maneuver a ship that has no means of offense. You are basically in pursuit of what I presume to be another ship that's colored in red. You cannot fight or shoot down anything since you don't have any weapons. The one thing that you can do, though is simply maneuver, rotate or thrust your way down the goal. Think you can breeze through this game? Give it a go.

Robotz DX

Combine old school graphics and some basic shooter gameplay and you get a retro looking shooter game in the form of Robotz DX. True to most retro shooter games, this one is incredibly difficult to master. All 30 levels will give you a good run for your money as you go through each stage. Initially based on an Atari game, Robotz; this game is new and improved yet retains the old school touch quite awesomely. Remade by Josh Monkman, the game beautifully captures the feel and gameplay of the original. Retaining some of the essential elements while adding a more updated look to capture the hearts of modern gamers. It's no joke that the game is difficult to beat so gather up patience and a lot of free time before diving in.
