Aaron Kaufman returns on the FrostClick scene with Origami, a five-track album jam-packed with funky acoustic melodies. Unlike his previous album Hello, Dear EP which was also featured here, the 20-year old singer/songwriter from Houston gives us the same boy-next-door charm but with an edgier approach. With rock guitar play-ups and drum-induced arrangement, Kaufman unravels his musical maturity as he stretches out beyond conventional acoustic rhytms.

Created by Sabrina Cotugno as a fourth year project in the California Institute of the Arts , this 4-minuter film revolves around a little fox who goes hunting on the woods, without knowing what strange discoveries lay ahead. One thing that makes this film standout is its classic, Ghibi-like visuals. It creates a nostalgic experience for those who grew up with old-school animation. I love how it’s packed with strange beings that deliver a subtle, fantasy world that’s easy to understand.

This London-based seven man group blends blues, rock-n-roll, hip-hop and grime like no other. A diverse group as theirs will surely cater to audiences who like unique sounds and have eclectic musical taste.

Rykard: Shelter Cove

Lift those gloomy days with a hint of sunshine in Rykard's latest musical project Shelter Cove. Released last August 11, 2012 through Dedpop, the Northern England-based musician gives to us four tracks oozing with infectious electronic synthpop that will surely make you feel that it's summer all over again. Title track Shelter Cove opens up with tribal beats and dangerously addictive synthlines. Glowing electro tunes floes steadily through each note, creating the perfect laid-back anthem.

Terrace: Circuits EP

Well-loved band Terrace is back with an edgier approach. Their latest EP released last July 12, Circuits brings you four tracks of electro dance tunes for that psychedelic high. Currently based in Vancouver and Calgary, Terrace is Simon Lock, Isis Graham, and Adam Gasten. Unlike their first album Pollen, which was also featured here in FrostClick, Circuits EP explores the sharp and spacey aesthetic of electro dance music. Intro track Chances approaches with rough electro beats and rapid drumbeats, slowing down to a pace perfect for steady partying. Glowing keys add a dreamy flair to the track.

tungu

A whimsical mix of tribal folk tale and futuristic effects, tungu. will fully immerse you to a visual world of dance and eccentric landscapes. Directed/animated by March Rühl and written by Georg Klein, the 9-minuter short tells the story of tungu, a tribe observed by scientists which lives peacefully outside the external world in the rainforest. These tribesmen are devoid of symbols and writing, they only communicate through simple dances.

Cambriana: House of Tolerance

Solid and flawless, House of Tolerance embodies why Cambriana is a band that slow rock lovers can depend to. Cambriana is Wassily Brasil, Luis Calil, Pedro Falcão, Heloísa Helena, Rafael Morisha, and Israel Santiago. House of Tolerance was started in pen by Luis Calil in late 2010. By March 2011, Wanderson Meireles joined him and contributed song ideas. Due to different geographical locations, much work was done via the Internet. The project was recorded in September in a home studio. By January 27, House of Tolerance was released boasting ten sonically diverse tracks. Currently, the band is planning on touring throughout the year.
