RBTO: INVERSE

Turn your your dull room or workplace into the ultimate chill out zone with RBTO’s newest musical offering entitled Inverse. Released last April 26, this album features ten tracks of flavorful hip-hop music. Born in Hong Kong but currently based in the Philippines, Roberto better knows as RBTO is an MC and producer who roots his musical begginings at the early age of 7, where he started to write songs and was introduced to beat boxing. RBTO’s love for hiphop officialy started in 2006 when he met People’s Future, a Manila-based MC group. Aside from being an MC and producer, RBTO is also an independent artist, writer, a composer, and a lyricist.

Mary Page: All Before the Head of State

New kids on the block Mary Page proves that natural talent is a key player in making it big. Repackaging happy things to sad pop songs, the three-piece band of Mary Page, Turner Stough and Tim McCoy emerged from the budding music scene of Brooklyn, New York. Their latest musical venture All Before the Head of State, is a buzz builder to the group’s undeniable potential.

Metro

Gentle yet compelling, Metro by Jacob Wyatt is a beautiful animation that will take you to surreal worlds and parallel universes. This four-minuter student film at the Bringham Young University shows the adventure of a girl through the city's underground passageway as she follows a mysterious fox that snatched her metro ticket. Wyatt certainly has a handle on his craft. He makes good use of soft tones, watercolor visuals, and subtle pacing to evoke a feel-good and heart warming emotion. The selective framing and composition abstracts adds texture to the short, adding spice to a linear narrative.

Phototaxis: Pretty Ugly

Phototaxis is a special band that's made primarily of Yael Feldinger (lead vocalist and singer;) as well as Itay Tsuk (composer, arranger and pianist.) They're joined together by the talented crew of Nir Blum, Roy Cheled, Yael Geva and Neta Cohen Shani. The band is only a couple of years old, but they seem poised for success; having their debut record come out to critical praise in their home country of Israel. Fusing a lush set of tracks that echo jazz, blues and a trip hop atmosphere; Pretty Ugly is a strong record that aims to please its listeners and does it successfully.

Devyn Rose: D.E.V.Y.N EP

Whipping out a fresh sound that’s equal parts sexy and catchy, newcomer Devyn Rose is looking to claim a piece of the R&B pop princess pie. From the sound of her debut record, this doesn’t seem far fetched. D.E.V.Y.N combines sultry dance club numbers along with some slow and beautiful tracks. And now we are more than excited to have her here with us over at FrostClick and FrostWire

Geoffrey Chaucer: The Canterbury Tales

Before JK Rowling became one of the greatest storytellers of the world, there was a fellow from Great Britain named Geoffrey Chaucer who told a couple of tales and found his rightful place in the world of literature. Created in the 14th century, his tales gave a reflection of his times. So if you want to know what knights were really like, among many other things, join the travel to Canterbury! The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 24 stories made by a group of pilgrims on their way to Canterbury, England to honor St. Thomas Becket. This group agrees to tell two stories each on the way to Canterbury and then another two on their way back. The best storyteller earns a prize.

Bonesetters: Savages

From the first few seconds of Savages, you'll realize you have a special compilation in your hands. If you're all for beautiful indie folk rock with a touch of alternative, the Bonesetters might become your new favorite band. The five-piece hails from Muncie, Indiana and creates music that, as they put it "are meant for dreams." Indeed, with a sound that fuses together elements of swing, folk, surf rock and blues; you can expect tons of catchy and easily likable tunes up ahead .

Jericho: On His Biggest Heartbreak

Written and directed by Liam Gavin, this award-winning film Jericho follows the journey of a man who was losing his own life as his wife just lost hers out of a medical condition. You may find yourself empathizing for this man as you feel the sadness in his silence. The brilliance of the acting and direction are projected as you look at his face–the age, loneliness, and desperation.

Glass Pear: Streets of love

If you're a fan of shows like Grey's Anatomy, Bones, One Tree Hill or maybe Vampire Diaries, then chances are you might have heard of Glass Pear's music even without knowing it. It's an odd moniker but the project is actually spearheaded by London based singer/songwriter, Yestyn Griffiths. Crafting beautiful melodic, acoustic, pop music, it's no surprise that his songs are picked up as material for various TV shows and dramas. His sound is clear and easily translates great emotion to the listeners.
