Fey Moth: Flesh Foam Bread Bone

This three piece music group hailing from Seattle, Washington have a really eccentric taste for electronic music. In a way it feels like listening to something made for the evenings that end with a good drink or a smoke. What makes their album fun is that there is a supernatural element at work, an x-factor that can incite the most languid sensations and make you break out and dance inside the room.

Andrew Johnathan

Andrew Jonathan’s self titled compilation is a seven track album of acoustic goodies. It is easy to the ear with a grunge like outfit to polish the commercial needs of the listeners. Maintaining focus though can be a bit difficult because of the singer’s gruff tones suddenly springing out from time to time, but still, it doesn’t spoil the good music that it is.

Coroner for the Police: Gentleman’s Relish

They are the Coroner for the Police. They are a 1920s mobster rock-punk band with a penchant for a good suit. They are the fact and the reason why you will have loads of fun listening to music for the next couple of minutes. Hailing from the United Kingdom, Dave, Nathan, John and Dan formed the band at the start of 2012 in a clingy warehouse then gigs followed wherein beers were drunk and friends were made.

Death in the Afternoon: Singles & B-sides

Death In The Afternoon‘s May 2012 release entitled Singles & B-sides is a sonic goldmine for electro dance enthusiasts. Hailing from Sweden, this five-piece band is composed of Christian (vocals/guitasr/synth), Albin (guitar/synth), Linda (bass/synth), and Rasmus (drums/synth). There is a distinct brand in Death in the Afternoon‘s music that you wouldn’t hear in any other band. The musical infusion of rock, 80s influence, new wave, and electro make a solid foundation for the collection.

Caterpillar

Carrying psycholigical intrigue and precise emotions, Caterpillar, directed by the fashion photographer David Field, is a promising cerebral drama that’s sensitively realized and dramatically absorbing. Since its release, this 15-minute short has already gained attention from the festival circuit with official selections, nominations, and awards such as Best Short Film in the Eeerie Horror Film Festival 2012.

Kid Runner

Kid Runner transcends the traditional structure, conventional tempo and the usual instrumental in its genre. Radio-friendly choruses and mainstream pop themes are still evident but expect more of the pulsing dreams, swing beats and gospel choirs thrown around here and there from time to time.

Cycle

Student filmmakers Trent Hilborn and Mark Mazurs twisty short film is anything but usual. With a runtime of around 25 minutes, Clever is an intense psychological film with an outstanding directorial effort. It was premiered at the Reeve Union Theatre at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. The short tells the story of a scientist trapped in the sub-level of a science facility. Suffering from perpetual grief, he is forced to the edge and becomes the first person to breath a new life, not through reproduction, but multiplication.
