Occasionally, you'll come across really unusual albums online that you can't help but be fascinated with them. The Symphony of Science is one of these records. Taking a clue from the title alone, you can tell it's gonna be a geeky and quirky ride. The idea behind the record is to bring "scientific knowledge and philosophy to the public, in a novel way." Spearheaded by John D. Boswell, he initially released the experimental collaboration on video. Combining lectures and essays with a mix of electronic melodies, he created a unique record that's not only enjoyable but also quite enlightening.

Terrace: Circuits EP

Well-loved band Terrace is back with an edgier approach. Their latest EP released last July 12, Circuits brings you four tracks of electro dance tunes for that psychedelic high. Currently based in Vancouver and Calgary, Terrace is Simon Lock, Isis Graham, and Adam Gasten. Unlike their first album Pollen, which was also featured here in FrostClick, Circuits EP explores the sharp and spacey aesthetic of electro dance music. Intro track Chances approaches with rough electro beats and rapid drumbeats, slowing down to a pace perfect for steady partying. Glowing keys add a dreamy flair to the track.

GDaddie: Ride With Me

Finally rewarding his listeners with a new release; GDaddie is back with his latest record, Ride With Me. Creating a more energetic mix of electronic, blues and funk, this recent compilation is a great follow up to two of GDaddie's album: The Truth (2011) and Gone (2009.) Ride With Me is released under Memory Format label this time and marks their 12th one so far. It's a funky mix of sounds that showcases the artists' psychedelic infused electronic taste. All 13 tracks are special and feature a little bit of the many influences that has shaped GDaddie's career so far.

Wood Spider: Tending Fires

Tending Fires is a simple but engaging compilation that's filled with lo-fi acoustic recordings from a four piece crew that call themselves, Wood Spider. Playing a host of acoustic, punk, freak folk, the album is perfect for those midnight campfires in the middle of nowhere and moon-filled camp reveries with the guitar and friends. Their sound brings to mind Gogol Bordello with the wailing/screaming vocals of Max Bemis of Say Anything. This is actually a split EP with Niko and the Juggler Meadow Family Band. It's a little over a year old and licensed under a Creative Commons License.

Child Bride is a 1938 full feature movie with a message; something that might appear quite disturbing now, yet was more than relevant in the rural communities of its time. As one of the more hard-hitting movies it explores the practice of older men marrying teen and pre-teen girls. Produced by Raymond L. Friedgen and directed by Harry Revier, the film is very nicely crafted, with Revier touching on the subject matter in an excellent manner.

Stuedabakerbrown is an odd name for a band but what others might see as a poor name choice, the band more than makes up for with their sound. Strangers We'll Become is the band's 2010 release. Containing 11 catchy tracks, the album has helped propel the band into the limelight. They've managed to tour with national touring acts like Say Anything and The Spill Canvas. Moreover, much of their catalogs are licensed for use on cable networks like MTV, ESPN etc. Thanks to their refreshing and smart alternative rock, it's hard to dismiss the band as just another altrock number.

Will Stratton: Vile Bodies EP

Will Stratton is a folk singer and songwriter that's currently based in New Jersey. Creating beautiful sets of indie folk music, it's hard not to get lost in his sweet guitars and vocals. Stratton is no stranger in the music industry. He's released several records including his 2005 debut album, What The Night Said, which featured Sufjan Stevens on oboe. This was followed by 2009's No Wonder and a set of free, downloadable EP's including this one. Vile Bodies is an EP composed of 5 tracks and was released as a free download back in September 2009.
