My Bubba & Mi: How it’s done in Italy

Probably one of the best folk record released for the year. The beautiful sound of My Bubba & Mi originate from three lovely ladies from Denmark. All three of them carry their instruments and create some of the loveliest, melodic, folk tracks you will ever hear. It might sound like an overstatement, but if you adore relaxing folk music, then this is a must have record. By coincidence or fate, My Bubba and Mia, became roommates in Copenhagen. They discovered each other's passion for music as they spent the many months together. Sharing laughters, singing and practicing. An invitation to head for Italy knocked on their doors; soon enough the girls found themselves heading home with a record on hand. Truly a wonderful album to listen to. It's hard to imagine why this is being offered for free but I'm not complaining. Awesome download right here.

Uniform Motion: Pictures

As you wait for your train on the platform, you look up and glance at the girl standing right across at the other side. She looks spaced, staring directly in your direction yet not seeing you. You stare a while longer and suddenly you’re overcome with an urge to talk to her.

Entertainment For The Brain Dead “Seven (+1)” EP – a melodic treat

Entertainment For The Brain Dead is the one-woman band of Julia Kotowsky. Only 21, Julia is based in Cologne, Germany, recording her songs with a USB microphone connected to a PC. She writes, composes, and records her own music and even makes the album covers by hand (available only on demand). She has released three albums so far, the latest of which is "Seven (+1)", a charming, whimsical acoustic album accentuated with ukulele strains, the sound of hollow paper bins, and even pepper mills.

Chuck Morgan: Chuck Morgan EP

After discovering Aaahhh Records two years ago, (Uniform Motion's Pictures was one the first reviews I did for the blog) they've definitely come a long way. They've added great acts to their roster and continue to deliver some of the most amazing indie folk compilations available. And yes, they're still offering everything absolutely free! Chuck Morgan is the newest addition to their lineup and he's definitely got that special touch as well. His self-titled debut EP echoes with a beautiful sonic presence. Armed with an acoustic guitar and gorgeous melodies, it's a record that's a potential staple on your playlist.

Bryyn- Pink Noise

Changing names is quite common in the music business. Hence, it's no surprise that indie folk pop guru, Pinkle, decided to adopt his real name and drop the "Pinkle" moniker in full. He's known simply now as, Brynn. Taking up his real name as a moniker doesn't mean he's no longer creating lovely indie pop music. In fact, the artist still manages to churn out lovely and relaxing music that induces a surge of endorphins down your brain. Pink Noise is actually an older album. It was released back in the summer of 2008. Despite its age, it's still a wonderful compilation to check out.
