Curly Jefferson and His Orchestra: Ooh La La!

The latest release from Curly Jefferson and His Orchestra perfectly blends the sounds from the old vinyl classics with the love of hip-hop, jazz, and downbeat. Available for a free download from the equally amazing Dedpop Netlabel, the album will certainly be a great addition to any music lover's library. One thing is for sure. Physicists at the Hong Kong University of Technology and Science might have proven that no machine will ever allow us to travel through time, however, what they did forget about is music - so sit back and enjoy the "Ooh La La!" ride into the smokey nightclubs of New York of the 1930s and 40s.

On Returning: A Touch of the Top of the World by

Playing retro alternative indie pop, On Returning, makes certain that people never forget the good old 80s. A Touch of the Top of the World is the group's first major compilation following a short EP release. Their characteristic 80s sounding alternative pop is very much alive and showcased in this record that it'll be hard for people who love the decade to not like this album. Compiling 9 upbeat retro electronica sounding pop in one record, A Touch of the Top of the World, resonates with the same aesthetic as songs from their previous and recent releases. It contains lovely, uptempo indie alternative rock with an 80s synth touch here and there. If you're a big fan of The Cure or maybe yearned for a more rockish Pet Shop Boys, then this record will make you happy.

TimeStill by Zack Banack

If you could stop time, what would you do? In TimeStill, there's no need to wonder. You get to stop time in order to obtain all these shiny things in your screen. You also get to jump on top of bullets to reach these little shards while dodging other harmful obstacles. The game was created by Zack Banack, who has had a ton of titles under his name ever since he started developing games back in 2008. Some of his titles include the handrawn shooter, Paper Dreams and Cactus and Arthur Lee's, Dunjin. Like his other games, TimeStill injects a certain twist. It's basically your typical platformer packed with interesting graphics and a cool gameplay. Check it out.

Atomic Horsebox: Sound Like

Atomic Horsebox is the pet project of German musician, Phil Noonan. Noonan is no stranger to the music industry. He can be considered a veteran, having been part of several bands like The Winchesters, Crystal Kitchen, and The Probability of the Impossible just to name a few. Sound Like is an 11 track record from the singer. It features an indie pop rock sound that's made even more special thanks to the artist's excellent rockish vocals. It's not just the rhythm or beat that makes this special, Noonan also has a knack for incorporating quirky lyrics to his songs. Thanks to this, it becomes even more entertaining to listen to.

Your main objective is to earn as much money as possible. The more you earn, the bigger chance of you winning the game.
StrangeZero: Future is a Choice You Make

StrangeZero: Future is a Choice You Make

StrangeZero are in fact SteliosZero and Io-V from Greece. Their music is a wonderful combination of electronic sounds strongly influenced by the good days of Harthouse and Eye Q., strong acid 303 trips and experimental ambient sounds. While they already released some of their recordings on many commercial CDs by Sony BMG and TSOE, they are also keeping with the tradition by making five of their albums and two EPs available as a free download under the Creative Commons license. What separates StrangeZero and their latest EP Future is a Choice You Make from others is the level of quality and the professional production that will surely keep you listening.

Singing In The Abbey: Winter Demos 2011

On their Facebook page, Chicago band Singing In The Abbey describe their sound as Thom Yorke meets Julie Andrews. I can see where they are coming from. On Winter Demos there is a dramatic theatrical flair that is balanced by the strings and indie pop structure. Annie Higgins plays piano and sings; she has put this band together centered around her piano and songs and is joined by Donna Milleron on cello and vocals, Katie Cooperon on violin and vocals and the lone guy, Jason Toth on percussion.
