Saint Bernard: The Spirit of the Stairs

A quick Google search about Saint Bernard (the band) and you'll most likely not end up with much useful information. It's too bad since it would be nice to find out more about them and their sound. Despite the lack of info, their music is enough of a treat for those who take a listen. The Spirit of the Stairs is a lovely collection of indie pop rock tracks. There are 10 songs you can enjoy and each one is accompanied with a lovely acoustic vibe. Perfect for quiet mornings or if you're feeling a bit reflective; it's easy to pop on the album and simply let the melodies take you away.

Beware Wolf: Tales

Tales is a short 4-track EP from a trio of lads from West Yorkshire, England. Creating a flurry of indie math rock in a span of more or less 15 minutes, the band's debut is laden with some fun and catchy tunes worth taking note of. Made up of Tom, Liam and Sean; Beware Wolf strays away from hiding underneath instruments and instead cleverly mixes varying tempo, beats and smart lyrics to round up their cuts. It's this eclectic side coupled with the bands pop sensibilities that make each song in this record quite enjoyable.

Special Enquiry Detail

It is time to let your detective skills kick-in and solve amazingly intriguing mysteries with their far-share of twists. Special Enquiry Detail is a game that puts the player in the shoes of Detective Turino and Detective Lamonte. The game can really make a player scratch those grey cells of theirs. Created by G5 Entertainment, the developer has done a fanatstic job by churning out titles such as Special Enquiry Detail and the quality can be seen in the game.

K.Raydio: Significant (Other) – Part II

K.Raydio is a great example of someone pursuing their dreams regardless of the odds. The 22 year old singer was broke yet had big dreams of going after her passion for sound. The result of her perseverance include two EPs, a host of performances around in landmark concert venues in the hometown, plus a good and solid following. The singer was able to do all of this in just under a year. Real name, Krysta Rayford, the singer hails from Minneapolis and was born from a family filled with musicians. "Her mother was a singer and guitarist and her father was the son of a blues musician."

Taptu

There have been various DJ apps that help in mixing music and other audio data right on the device itself, but here comes something totally different. Taptu is like a full-fledged DJ app, but instead of mixing music, this one mixes all the social news in a jiffy. Created by Taptu themselves, the developers brainstorming sessions have really done wonders for this masterpiece of an app. The developers has quite a few other apps developed, but Taptu seems to be a whole new ball game altogether.

Royal Teeth: Act Naturally

After some time spent on perfecting their lush melodies, it looks as if Royal Teeth are ready to become the next big thing. Hailing from New Orleans, the band is composed of Gary Larsen (Vocals/ Guitars), Nora Patterson (Vocals), Joshua Wells (Bass), Josh Hefner (Percussion), Stevie Billeaud (Guitar/Keys) and Andrew Poe (Vocals/Keys/Guitar/ Percussion). Their newly released debut album, Act Naturally, has five hits that will surely fit into everyone's playlist. One thing I like about Royal Teeth's music is their eager attempt to try something new producing tracks that play between dance pop and electronica.

LightBike 2

Here we have something for the real speed-junkies, yet again, so prepare for a heavy dosage of adrenaline rush with LightBike 2 (the sequel to the worldwide mega hit LightBike). This time around the game has come with some heavy duty updates to enhance the game-play and take the overall game experience to an all new high. Created by Pankaku Inc., this developer is no new kid-on-the-block as far as iOS is concerned and has quite a few apps under its belt. The developer releases new versions of the app in series and that is something commendable. So instead of just releasing minor updates, a revamped version will always make the users smile.

Armen at the Bazaar: Noor

When I first heard Armen at the Bazaar's Drive With Me, the first thing that came to my mind was that it was equal parts weird and awesome. Indeed the album is an eclectic combination of sounds. From pop rock, to indie, to sometimes random bits, the record gives these things a fresh take. Listening to the artist feels as if you're globe trotting and exploring different regions all over the world. Armen at the Bazaar is described as a one-man-band making music from Montreal. He started out young, playing in the Toronto Children's Chorus and fronting for various bands later on. His music is honestly tough to classify although he cites that it's a mix of alternative, indie and pop.
