Bad Lamps: Soultronic EP

Bad Lamps opens its box of tricks in Soultronic EP, a double-decker treat for all the music lovers. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, the duo consisting of Patrick Martinez (Guitar/ Vocals) and George Russell (Drum Machine/Synth) started as workmates who played music after office hours. Their new album is loaded with four well-written tracks that plays along dance, pop and indie music.

Basketball Shot

Another masterpiece coming for the Android users and this time around they are ready to satisfy the hunger of basketball fans. Basketball Shot is a game that comes from highly sought developer; it is intuitive, fun, addictive and challenging all at the same time. Created by DroidHen Casual, this developer has some of the best arcade game offerings under-their-belt and they definitely need no introduction to an Android user hooked to games such as Racing Moto, Fruit Shoot, Jewels to name just a few.

Dempsey: Dempsey

Hop on the time machine with Dempsey’s new self-titled EP. The California-raised duo of Niels Pederson and Adam Abilgaard offers Dempsey, a collection of six dreampop tracks released last September 15. This set will surely give you that 80’s electro pastiche vibe. Bass riffs and heavy beats drop in Late Night taking you back to the glam, glittery disco fever. The album makes an emotional turn in Flashback. Prepare for a nostalgic high with its breathy vocals and strong lines such as “I’ll never forget you”.

Iyadede: The Demo

Iyadede has the right ingredients to put up the perfect musical recipe. With twelve eclectic songs produced by Abdul and Bless, The Demo delivers a breath of fresh air to the music scene. Born by the name Sabrina Iyadede, the singer/songwriter was raised in Kigali, Rwanda but later moved to Belgium due to the genocide escalation. She then transfered to Brooklyn, New York where she's currently residing. These life experiences shaped the tracks in this set. The singer's soulful voice set the album in motion in Not the Same, a love song accompanied with a funky strum, eighties sounding synths and a bass groove.

Moving Takahashi

Cuddle up with a loved one while watching Moving Takahashi, a pleasant addition to the "bad boy" romance genre. This Kickstarter-funded short film was directed by Josh Soskin, an LA-based writer/director. It stars the model-turned-actor Boyd Holdbrook and the innocent-looking Kristin Malco. The film talks about a young hustler/mover (Holdbrook) who stumbles upon a suicidal daughter (Malco) while moving furniture out of a posh LA home. The mover's original plan of robbery changed in a rare fit of conscience to help the dying girl.

Boy Things: Boy Things EP

Boy Things is a five piece crew from Hackettstown, NJ. Their brand of music is overall indie, but there's also a whole lot of interesting little bits added in there that help keep everything intriguing. This self-titled EP is the first for the group. It was released on their BandCamp page just last October 2o11 and contains 6 tracks that are mostly perfect for late night rock parties and dancing. Made up of Beth Hansen (vocals,) Adam Cumiskey (guitar,) Vince Rickey(bass,) Eric Dryburgh (drums) and Robert Aldo Blake (synth;) the band clearly has something up their sleeve that's worthy of a listen.

Ultima 4

This game is the fourth in the Ultima franchisee of RPG. Ultima IV won numerous applauds for its shift in gameplay compared to the existing Ultima series and with a much better concrete story-line. Initially released 1985 for the Apple II, the developers worked and made the game available on more than 12 platfroms later on. Developed and Published by Origin Systems, the game was ranked at No.2 by Computer Gaming World in 1996 on their Best Games of all time list. Even the games designer, Richard Garriott considers this to be his personal favorite among the Ultima franchisee.

Antoine Reverb: A Revolt of Sorts

If you ever want a record to keep you company while you're down in the low, then A Revolt of Sorts might just be your compilation. It's not so much that it will lift your spirits or maybe depress you even more, but it's more like a quiet companion that patiently waits for you to get over whatever it is you're morosing about. The songs they play are a mix of eclectic sounds that sort of float around you. Antoine Reverb is a five-piece crew from Guadalajara, Mexico. The band plays folk rock with a psychedelic and shoegaze touch. Although the band is still relatively unknown, their music has been slowly making the rounds. In fact, they're slated to play at SXSW 2012.
