Super Dangerous Dungeons

Super Dangerous Dungeons by Jussi Simpanen is a retro style platformer, so you get the classic 16 bit graphics and sound. It’s got the standard features you would expect from a retro title, but Super Dangerous Dungeons has 48 uniquely designed levels that should appeal to anyone who loves a good game.

Sky Whale

If you watch Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers, you should be familiar with Sky Whale, the game that the two schoolgirls made for their school project. Sky Whale proved to be popular in the show, so much so that there’s now a real mobile game based on it available for the iOS and Android, and it’s a good one too.

Floors

There are a lot of complex games on mobile for those who want an immersive experience, and there are also titles for those who want something more casual. A good example of the latter is Floors by Ketchapp. Just like their other games, the concept is simple, impossible to beat and highly addictive.

Slow Down

There are basically two kinds of games on mobile, the complex ones that require you to invest time in them, and the others that are aimed at casual gamers who only play in spurts and just want a diversion. Slow Down by Ketchapp is one such game, offering a simple gameplay that anyone can get into.

Ball Jump

Ketchapp is known for their retro arcade style titles and Ball Jump is once again proof of that. It’s an easy/entertaining game to pick up, and offers the same “just one more” feeling you get from classic video games. If you’re a casual gamer and plays in spurts, check this out.

Mountain Goat Mountain

Mountain Goat Mountain by Zynga is variation of the endless runner game, except this time it’s sort of an endless climber. You just need to swipe and tap to go up the mountain, overcoming debris, obstacles and difficult paths. Though the gameplay is nothing revolutionary, it’s actually this element that makes playing it a lot of fun.

Mr. Jump

Mr. Jump from 1Button SARL is a seemingly simple game: it’s a sidescroller and as the name implies, your characters needs to jump from platform to the next. It’s a very easy game to pick up, but as is always the case with these retro style games, it’s a bit more challenging than that.

Spring Ninja

Spring Ninja is one of the latest from Ketchapp Games, and while it bears some resemblance to classic platform / sidescroller games, it does incorporate some original elements that make it fun. The premise is to have your ninja jump a specific distance, and while it sounds simple enough, it’s the reason why this game is addictive.

Papi Jump

The best games don’t have to be complex or have eye popping visuals, because more than anything else, it’s the gameplay that matters. Papi Jump from Sunflat Games is a good example of that, because it’s the very simplicity that makes it addictive: While it’s basically a jumping platform game with a rubber ball, it’s a lot of fun.
