There are basically two kinds of games on mobile, the complex ones that require you to invest time in them, and the others that are aimed at casual gamers who only play in spurts and just want a diversion. Slow Down by Ketchapp is one such game, offering a simple gameplay that anyone can get into.
Bullet Boy is new for 2015, but this offering from Pomelo Games bears a strong resemblance to classic 90s sidescrolling games. The premise is simple enough: you shoot Bullet Boy from barrels and steer clear from the obstacles that are in your path. It sounds easy, but you have to be on your toes to get far.
Splish Splash Pong from Happymagenta is the latest game to follow the footsteps of Crossy Road, or games where animals cross a traffic heavy road. While Splash Pong bears some resemblance to the other games in this burgeoning genre, it’s got some original features too.
Ketchapp is known for their retro arcade style titles and Ball Jump is once again proof of that. It’s an easy/entertaining game to pick up, and offers the same “just one more” feeling you get from classic video games. If you’re a casual gamer and plays in spurts, check this out.
Skill Wave is one of the latest titles from Appsolute Games, and like their other titles this one can’t be easily categorized as it combines elements from other games. Mr. Jump from 1Button SARL is a seemingly simple game: it’s a sidescroller and as the name implies, your characters needs to jump from platform to the next. It’s a very easy game to pick up, but as is always the case with these retro style games, it’s a bit more challenging than that.
Spring Ninja is one of the latest from Ketchapp Games, and while it bears some resemblance to classic platform / sidescroller games, it does incorporate some original elements that make it fun. The premise is to have your ninja jump a specific distance, and while it sounds simple enough, it’s the reason why this game is addictive.
Stickman Rush from Ketchapp Games is a sidescroller that will bring back fond memories of those pixelated games you used to play. However, this isn’t just strong on aesthetics as its gameplay is just as good. While it’s basically a lane changing scroller, Stickman Rush has a few more aces up its sleeve.
