Shooter/FPS

Nezumiman

Nezumiman is a parody/tribute to the NES game, Mega Man. This cool 2d shooter platformer lets you play as a rat that can do almost anything Megaman can do (including the infamous sliding maneuver that became prominent since Mega Man 3.) The game is quite simple to play unlike Mega Man, but it is fun. Your goal is to defeat the evil, Dr. Gyoniku and a his gang of evil rat-like creatures. There are 8 levels in total and you have to beat every single boss in the level to advance. Almost every single aspect is similar to the blue robot series, the only marked difference is the graphics and instead of fighting big bad weird robots, you just fight off weird animals. Pretty cool game that's worth your time.

Privates

Rated 14+, Privates, is a Zombie Cow Studios shooter game developed and released last August 2010. In the game, you lead a bunch of marines down, er, private parts to eradicate traces of sexual diseases. If you find battling chlamydia and herpes down the fallopian tube as interesting, then read on. The game is an unusual take on biology class, that's for sure. The game was rumored to be released on Xbox Live Indiegames, however, a spokesperson for Xbox has confirmed that they haven't received the submission yet. If reports online are to be believed about the content, he added, that it would probably not make the guidelines they have for sexual and explicit content in their games. Well, Xbox or no Xbox, at least you can enjoy this game for free download. Happy hunting!

Lovecraft Game

For those of you who love Lovecraft, maybe the total randomness and weirdness of his ideas, then you might enjoy this Lovecraft Game. Before delving any further, let me just tell you that this game is basically unfinished. It's pretty much playable but the ending is a bit abrupt. However, like any game expected from Cactus, you get a great game with cool graphics; definitely enough to tune into this game even for a bit.

Cube

This is an oldy-but-goodie. Cube was first released in singleplayer mode in January 2002 and had multiple updates all the way up to 2005. The game and its engine (which also called Cube) were developed by Wouter van Oortmerssen, a Dutch computer programmer. The game was always very well reviewed and it even received an award for "Best Free 3D Action Game" in 2003. It runs on almost all operating systems, it features both singleplayer and multiplayer gameplaya and even has a build-in level editor.

GTA, GTA2 and Wild Metal

Rockstar Classics offers free downloads of its three timeless titles: Wild Metal, Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto II. All three have been optimized to run smoothly on more current PCs and are meant to give you a “nostalgic trip back in time to the early days of the Rockstar legacy.” Rockstar started collecting name, address and email information from all who want to download the games – just so you know. We think it’s still worth it!
