Skill Wave is one of the latest titles from Appsolute Games, and like their other titles this one can’t be easily categorized as it combines elements from other games. This is basically a zig zag game but there’s a bit more to it than that, so don’t be surprised if you end up playing this far longer than you think.
gar.io is a popular browser game from Miniclip that not surprisingly, has made its way to mobile. The game is a bit difficult to describe, and the closest would be that it’s an MMO with elements of arcade, retro and fast play thrown in. You’re a cell and your goal is to absorb as many other cells and live for as long as possible. Simple premise, but addictive.
Mountain Goat Mountain by Zynga is variation of the endless runner game, except this time it’s sort of an endless climber. You just need to swipe and tap to go up the mountain, overcoming debris, obstacles and difficult paths. Though the gameplay is nothing revolutionary, it’s actually this element that makes playing it a lot of fun.
Brothers in Arms 3: Sons of War from Gameloft marks the return of this popular WWII game, and this time there are better graphics, gameplay and more action. This shooter also has plenty of new weapons, new kill cams and more explosions. It is, quite simply one of the best World War II games on mobile.
New Star Soccer from New Star Games has two modes, one free and the other requiring an IAP. Arcade mode is free and career mode requires a purchase. The game is free to download either way and you can decide later if you want to pay and unlock career mode, but arcade mode alone is a lot of fun, so let’s talk a little about it.
Roof Jumping Stunt Driving Parking Simulator has a mouthful for a title, but it’s a pretty good description of what this is all about. Courtesy of publisher Playing with Friends, it’s as close to a simulation of roof jumping and stunt driving as you’ll find on the iOS, and it looks great.
Frontline Commando: WW2 from Glu Games may look like just another shooter, but it differs in many respects, mainly concerning how easy it is to control and the amount of variety in each of the levels. The game is set in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II, but even if you don’t know your history, you’re still going to enjoy the game.
Mortal Kombat X from Warner Bros. is the first iteration of the popular video game franchise on mobile. But even if you’re just a casual gamer you’ve no doubt heard of the game and know what it’s all about, which is all fighting and tearing your opponents limb from limb. The mobile version, fortunately, lives up to the hype.
Pixel Gun 3D from Alex Krasnov is one of the many indie games that drew inspiration from Minecraft, and this is evident from the blocky and pixelated graphical style. But that’s what the resemblance ends because this is a multiplayer shooter / survival game for the iOS, Android and Windows.
