This no nonsense game seems to win a favorable spot in fan books around the world, specially when it is being offered as a free and legal download. And although the developers Realtech VR have shifted to the more competitive mobile platforms like iOS, Android, WebOS - No Gravity remains a classic and provides a highly refined game structure.

N (Metanet Software)

One of the most addictive and sometimes frustrating game you can ever play, N is an award winning title that involves tons of jumping, climbing, running and all those other cool ninja skills. The game was created by Metanet Software back in 2005 and won the audience choice award for the Independent Games Festival that same year. Today, the game has spawned a console (multiplayer) version for the Xbox Live Arcade, the Nintendo DS and the PSP titled, N+. N was originally offered as a flash game but you can download it now onto your computer. There's a version available for the Mac, Linux and of course, Windows system.

MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries

Make way for heavy duty gaming action with MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries. This game belongs to the very popular and widely rated MechWarrior franchisee, and the publisher is none other than Microsoft Game Studios; developed by FASA Studios. The game brings you a good dose of adrenaline pumping action with loads and loads of machinery thrown-in everywhere. Developed with the help of Mechwarrior 4 engine, it looks gorgeous to say the least.

F.E.A.R Combat

Gear up warriors, it is time to join the team, load the guns, buckle-up, head for some intense killing and feel the "F.E.A.R". Yes, we are talking about the highly-popular F.E.A.R franchisee with the spine-chilling action that takes the FPS genre to a whole new level. Developed by Monolith Productions, F.E.A.R Combat is a multiplayer online game being offered as a freeware. The game takes the entire queue from the other F.E.A.R versions and fans will immediately notice the similarities, once the game has shot-up and the mouse starts controlling the gun.

Own a portable multimedia device, but are downright annoyed and confused about transferring videos in the perfect format? Well, Handbrake is the solution you should be looking at to sort out all your multimedia needs and fixing them up perfectly. Developed by the Handbrake community, the software has advanced over the years and has churned out some very neat features, making it easier and simpler for users viewing their HD movie collection on various devices.

Mozilla Firefox is synonymous with desktop browsing and it certainly has come a long way with solutions spanning to the smartphone territory. Attention all FPS lovers. Its time to pick-up your weapons, choose your allies, and gear up for war. We are talking about the iconic FPS, Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Developed by Activision, the same developer who has churned out impressive titles such as Driver, Driver 3, Call Of Duty series, Crash Bandicoot series, just to name a few. Enemy Territory was supposed to be an expansion pack to the RTCW game series, but a problem owing to the single-player aspect led to Enemy Territory being released as a free and open-source standalone game on 29th May, 2003.
