If you're looking for a nice software that will help you record videos on your computer, VideoMyPC is a great one to check out. The program lets you record a portion or all of your computer screen and turn it into a movie at a simple click of a button. This nifty little tool is perfect for Youtubers or anybody who likes to record walkthroughs/tutorials and share them online. Developed by LEDSET Software, this barely there program is approximately 2MB in size but it does wonders. It's has a very straightforward interface and doesn't require a great learning curve in order to master.

Xonotic

A direct successor of the Nexuiz Project, Xonotic is a free, open source (GPL) shooter game that serves as the updated and much improved version of the former. After internal disagreements plagued the Nexuiz Project, several developers took a stand and vowed to remake the game from scratch. Creating one that's even better and ensuring that it'll remain free with an open source license. The game was created by a team of "players, developers, and artists who enjoy learning and refining their skills through contribution and collaboration with other players from around the globe." Thanks to this effort, this forked version features much of what gamers could hope for. With stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, great maps and a host of other features; Xonotic is slowly shaping up to becoming an excellent game.

Pumpkins vs. Monsters is a free Android game that will easily win your heart. Hailed by many as among the most addictive Android games ever released, it's certainly a game worth looking into. Developed by Runner Games Studios, this is the same team that has created other popular Android games like Doodle Dash, Tiny Robots and Alien Invasion just to name a few. For Pumpkins vs. Monsters, the game pits you against a hoard of monsters. Pretty much, your pumpkin garden and pumpking throwing skills is your best defense against keeping these monsters at bay.

The Unicated

The Unicated is a short adventure game that served as an entry for the monthly AGS competition. The contest encouraged indie developers to create a game in less than a month following the rules set by the previous winner of the competition. For this season, the theme was "evil twin." Appropriately enough, The Unicated is about two conjoined twins struggling to prevent doctors from separating them. It's main creators include Duzz (Wintermute Studios,) with music from PlantMonster and TheShanx on background art. The game is simple but highly entertaining and the graphics are definitely something to check out.

Creevity is a program designed to track the album art of mp3 music files and acts as a helping hand in the organisation of a music library. All it takes is one click. Furthermore, ‘no matter to which folder you move your mp3 file, the saved cover will always be there for you’. With its simple interface, this program can be accessed by everyone. All one has to do is select the programs file menu, add a desired folder and then pick from a list of suggestions. Creevity not only allows you to add album covers to mp3s; it also enables a user to change, delete or add alternative images to an mp3 file.

Synfig Studio

Synfig Studio might not be the simplest software to master but once you get it up and running, you'll have a 2D animation software that rivals most of its contemporaries. The best part of all is that it's absolutely free. The program was created to serve as an alternative animation tool and features plenty of features essential to a 2D artists arsenal. Development of the program was spearheaded by Robert Quattlebaum, lead software engineer and founder of the now defunct, Voria Studios. Professionals and non-professional animators will benefit from having this program. It's a software that's packed with features to make work easier and more polished.

If you have an affinity for shooter games where you get to be the hero, shoot tons of bad guys and eventually save the day, Gun Bros is for you. The storyline isn't much, in fact, it's as predictable as can be. You're simply a gun toting special soldier who is bent on carrying your mission: "to protect the cosmos from the Tyrannical Oppressors of Life known as T.O.O.L." Armed with tons and tons of guns, you have to defend yourself against waves of enemies. They start off quite easy to kill but as you progress, you'll encounter bigger bad guys that'll test your skills. The game is offered absolutely free and plays on your iOs and Android devices beautifully.

For mac users everywhere who are looking for an easy way to share files from one computer to their iPhone, iPad or other mac computers, DropCopy is the perfect software to have. Looking like an alien ring logo sitting on your desktop, this little software is quite easy to use and will definitely save time and effort in transferring files. With its simple drag and drop function, the program makes it possible to share documents, images, and other things between computers that have DropCopy installed. The program is free for personal use, allowing you to hook up to 3 devices. If you need to share with more devices, there's a Pro version available for a certain fee.
