WorldMate Mobile App

Traveling is fun, but planning and organizing can be a hassle. WorldMate app is designed to make things easier for you. Developed by WorldMate Inc, it is available for the iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. The app is pleasing to the eye, especially with iOS’ Retina Display. The application stores trip details locally, so you can view the files even with no Internet connection. In addition, there are other features that stand out, including the ability to provide flight alerts in real time.

TAGAP 2

TAGAP 2 (The Apocalyptic Game about Penguins) is the sequel to the original TAGAP game. Developed by the Penguin Development Team, it offers more action and adventure. This 2D platformer and shoot em up sees the team up of Pedro and Pablo, the cyber-penguins. Together they battle the zombie penguin army of the dastardly General Primo.

Clementine

Clementine is a free music player. The application is based on the Amarok player 1.4 but has a lot of new features. It is a music CD player, Internet radio and mp3 tag editor. Plus a lot more. Clementine’s interface is basic but very workable. Users who don’t like a lot of information thrown at them will like its appearance. You won’t find a music shop link here. The program is built around the user. The main window consists of a big playlist. At its left are tabs vertically set. You will find categories like artist info, song info, devices, Internet, files and library.

Pandora

All users hooked onto Internet Radio will be very familiar with Pandora. The service that allows users to create custom playlist and every particular station is set by a specific artist or song or a mixture of multiple items fused into a single station. The feature and functionality embedded in Pandora that totally takes away the cake would be the Feedback function that has an impact not only on the particular track, but on the entire Playlist on a whole.

Here we bring a really cool app that surely will make you smile. Floating Image for Android makes a live wallpaper out of all the various sources where your pictures are stored. Yes, you heard that right. The app itself is very cool and offers a great way of sprucing up the decor factor to a new level. Created by Mark Gjøl, the developer is fairly new to the Android ecosystem, but the delivery with Floating Image is so amazing that we can just look forward for his next offering on the Market.

Speed Dreams

Speed Dreams is the former Torcs-NG, but with a host of improvements. There are lots of cars, better graphics and realistic physics engines. It’s a racer all right, but precision driving will be necessary. It is cross-platform and you can play it in Windows, Linux and Haiku. There’s a lot of everything here. Racing modes include Career, the Championship, single events, endurance, quick race and practice. Dozens of cars are available and grouped into the following categories: World Rally Series, Monoposto 5, Long Day Series GT1 and 2, Supercars (sports cars), TORCS Racing Board 1 and 1936 Grand Prix. TORCS Racing Board 1 cars are redesigned models from the original TORCS. The 1936 Grand Prix are pre-World War II racing cars.

123D Make

So you just made a cool 3D model, but wouldn’t it be great if you could turn that into a real object you can hold? Well, 123D Make by Autodesk allows exactly that. How does it do that? It turns a 3D object into cardboard templates. After printing these templates, you can use these to cut cardboards or foams. Glue them together, paint and your virtual 3D object is literally in your hands. The program is a bit different from other 3D graphics software, but it will only take a while to get used to the interface.

Skyscanner

Skyscanner is an app that lets you search flights from around the world. When you use the app, you’ll be able to locate the most affordable dates and flights around. After downloading and setting up the program, it will ask for your present location so it can locate the nearest flight. You can choose OK or “don’t allow”. Choose OK when you are ready to use the app. If you tap OK, you’ll be given information about the nearest airport. Skyscanner will also tell you where the flights in your area are located. The screen will also have information on what days a flight is returning or departing, where airports fly to and the closest airport. You can modify the search options to show only direct flights.
