Software or Games for iPad

Contract Killer

Contract Killer is one of those games you try out once and never put down again for a very long time. In the game you play, well, a contract killer. As an assassin you take hit assignments initially for the government but fall from your superiors graces and end up taking assignments from various shady people. Some people might get bothered by the game premise, but it's still a very addictive game to play. It was created by Glu Games, Inc., who promises to keep updating the game and adding more content and levels while keeping it all free.

Facebook for iPad (Official App)

After the very successful launch of the iPad & iPad 2, users continually waited for the official Facebook App for the tablet but the wait seemed to be in vain. So almost 7 months after the iPad 2 was released, the Facebook app for iPad has made its homecoming with version 4.0.2. Users around the globe were frustrated by using the Facebook for iPhone app on their iPad as it appeared to be pixelated in 2x mode and the window mode just did not do justice to the high-resolution 9.7-inch display of the device.

NinJump HD

Who doesn't love ninjas? With their stealthy black masks and lighting quick reflexes, it's hard to resist a cool game with them on especially if it's offered for free. Take NinJump HD for instance. This stunning and fast paced game puts you in control of this masked, sword wielding hero. Your main task is simple, you just have to climb a wall as high up as you can go. Despite the simple gameplay, the game is one that's hard to put down. It was developed by Backflip Studios, a company who seems to have a knack for making even the simplest, most mundane game premises quite addictive. They're the same geniuses who gave us Paper Toss: World Tour and Ragdoll Blaster 2.

Pucca’s Restaurant

Pucca's Restaurant is one of those game that's so hard to put down. Not only does it feature a familiar (and quite popular) character, it also incorporates great gameplay to the mix. The game puts you in the shoes of a cute little Korean girl who is aspiring to become one of the best chefs around. You start off as a mere underling and have to work your way up the ladder in a 5-star restaurant. You can slowly reach your goal by keeping customers happy and serving them great dishes. Like most sim games, this one provides tons of fun features. Worth checking out if you'd like something to get busy with during your spare time.

Gun Bros

If you have an affinity for shooter games where you get to be the hero, shoot tons of bad guys and eventually save the day, Gun Bros is for you. The storyline isn't much, in fact, it's as predictable as can be. You're simply a gun toting special soldier who is bent on carrying your mission: "to protect the cosmos from the Tyrannical Oppressors of Life known as T.O.O.L." Armed with tons and tons of guns, you have to defend yourself against waves of enemies. They start off quite easy to kill but as you progress, you'll encounter bigger bad guys that'll test your skills. The game is offered absolutely free and plays on your iOs and Android devices beautifully.

DropCopy

For mac users everywhere who are looking for an easy way to share files from one computer to their iPhone, iPad or other mac computers, DropCopy is the perfect software to have. Looking like an alien ring logo sitting on your desktop, this little software is quite easy to use and will definitely save time and effort in transferring files. With its simple drag and drop function, the program makes it possible to share documents, images, and other things between computers that have DropCopy installed. The program is free for personal use, allowing you to hook up to 3 devices. If you need to share with more devices, there's a Pro version available for a certain fee.

Candy Train

If you were into PopCap games back then, then you must have remembered Candy Train at some point. This simple but entertaining game was a staple on the PopCap roster. In fact, it was even available as a flash game on their website. Fast forward to now and this addictive game is available as a free download for the iPhone and iPad. The game was released under PopCap's "indie label," 4th & Battery where they promised to deliver edgier and experimental games. I'm not so sure if you can call Candy Train edgy or experimental but one thing's for sure, it definitely has the charm of a PopCap title: making you want to do nothing but keep playing.

iBall3D

iBall3D is actually the latest remake of the old classic game, Labyrinth. Instead of the old graphics, you get an updated gameplay and the game in full 3D. Gameplay is similar though; you need to guide a ball from one point of the map to another. The game was created by Stone Trip, and it features great graphics as well as excellent gameplay that will get players hooked into playing it. The perfect combination of puzzle solving and agility will ultimately help you to win this game. Give it a try. iBall3D works on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It's also available as a free download right under the Mac App Store.

Stupidness 2

If you're one of those brain geeks who like to take IQ tests or match wits with a computer once in awhile to see who's smarter, then you might want to grab Stupidness 2. This fun IQ game will throw you brain melting questions that'll make you think twice about your own intellect. The game features 35 questions, some of them are quite easy to answer while others will definitely leave you scratching your head. Created by Orangenose Studios, the game offers a PRO version with more questions to the roster, but trust me, this free version is more than enough to make your nose bleed in certain instances.
