El Papado: Canciones de Amor y Derrota

Good music transcends all boundaries and El Papado proves that in Canciones de Amor y Derrota. El Papado started writing and playing the guitar at the age of 14. After a long period as a member and lyricist of heavy-rock group Akeron, he tried incorporating reggae into his musical brand. Released last July 2011 under Mésdemil, this eleven-track collection is a showcase of El Papado’s versatility and talent.

Raging Moses: Blue Sweats Red Dirt

If hip hop was all about raw talent, Raging Moses would definitely be in the spotlight many times over. Featuring solid rap skills, dope samples and beats that's incorporated with positive lyrics, it's hard not to find inspiration in his songs. Although not much is posted about the artist himself, in a way, you can take his music to speak for him. Blue Sweats Red Dirt is the second BandCamp release from the artist but it's the first one he's offering as a free download. His initial album, When Kings Go To War, is a full record that's offered for purchase on the page as well.

Everyday is a celebration of the heart with Talentine 2. Produced by LA based K L S H (Klash), this musical compilation by various artists surround perspectives on love and relationships with people, society and situations. Dope Girl by Mat Randol and Javonte is in every way sensual. Potent rap verses and ferocious beats deliver a very tight track.

Jay McCoy: Truth and Reality

Combining a smooth musical style along with gorgeous vocals, Jay McCoy's brand of music might seem like typical R&B but it's the same reason why it's so likable. This young and up-and-coming singer knows how to create the right hooks and grooves; making her songs stick to you with ease. Truth and Reality was released last August 2011. It's her second full length record and showcases some really catchy tracks that should please any R&B fan.

Par-City: Civilized Sessions Vol. 1

Par-City is a Bronx rap group that knows a thing or two about creating good quality hip hop music. Formed back in 2009, the three piece crew is made up of Willy Dope, Anti, and GiF the Great. The three have been rapping together since 2003 although it wasn't until later on when they established themselves as an actual group. Civilized Sessions Vol. 1 is the group's latest release and is composed of various samples as well as great beats. So far, it has garnered more than 70,000 downloads and have been featured in various prints and media avenues such as Source, Vibe and HotNewHipHop to name a few.

Brit Laurén: Autoportraits II

Equally eclectic and catchy, Brit Laurén’s new album Autportraits II is a flavourful gem with some salt and pepper on the side. Hailing from Los Angeles, Brit Laurén is a vocalist, performing artist, and actor rolled into one. Released last October 11, 2011, Autoportraits II offers six tracks of undeniably good pop and r&b. Autoportraits II opens the album with a sneak peak of the artist’s musical brand. It also serves as an intro for the whole album.

Realysm: The Art of SirRealysm EP

Creating and sharing personal thoughts and ideas through rap and hip hop isn't anything new, but there are those that do it in a more positive light than others. Shawn Kristopher Savage, aka, Realysm is one of the few who rappers who stand proud with this sound. Signed on to Ego Free Productions, owned by Frostclick featured artist John Graham; The Art of SirRealysm is an interesting record that beams with all of the classic hip hop touches along with new flair from this Philly artist.

Black Mask: Us and Them

It's rare to find good quality music being offered for free online but when you do find them, you're rewarded with a new artist to love and great new music to enjoy. Us and Them is an indie hip hop album that's a good find. It was recorded and released by a group of friends who call themselves Black Mask. Originally made up of Maulskull, America Smith, B-Nuggs, INfluence, Noby One, Joe Kirschner, Dean Wakerlin, Dustin Thompkins and Milton Minasko; the crew has downsized to a six piece from a nine. Despite the dwindling number, they still churn out music that's worth grazing your ears.

TK Paradza: WallPaper

WallPaper is the latest effort from singer/songwriter, TK Paradza. This 13-track record from the Zimbabwe-born singer, features melt-your-heart vocals and a beautiful set of catchy songs that would make most R&B/pop fans happy. Paradza counts musicians like Craig David, Usher, Keith Sweat and Michael Jackson as among his influences. Judging from this album, TK seems to have what it takes to make a solid impression on fans and listeners.
