Dave Daniels: Songs From Stone Mountain

Songs From Stone Mountain by Dave Daniels is collection of folk pop indie americana tracks that'll give you a taste of what it's like staying in an American bayou or at least in a small American town. The songs in this record evoke a quiet reverie, but there are also some tracks that are upbeat and cleverly intertwine a pop rock sound. This Changes Everything: The New and Very Welcome

The New & Very Welcome is basically Jessica Lynne McDermott. She creates wonderful indie acoustic pop right from her bedroom. This Changes Everything is the latest release from this laid-back songstress and it features 16 acoustic-inspired tracks. Every single one of the tracks were recorded in the artists' bedroom and then transferred to cassette. The album compiles raw yet endearing cuts that has every inch of indie stamped on it. Although the recording isn't that amazing, it's quite clean. As for the songs, not everything is a gem but there are definitely cuts worth listening to and downloading. Monk Turner + Fascinoma: In case of an emergency

EMERGENCY SONGS is a beautifully arranged, new concept album from Monk Turner and singer/lyricist Fascinoma (Allana Lin) from Los Angeles, California. Together they bring us 12 wonderful songs filled with a variety of musical flavors and lovely vocals that, even if the music itself gets a little rough, maintains its composure; a very character attribute that could turn to be a critical factor in surviving a major disaster (the theme of the album). The album itself is conceived to awake the imagination of its listeners through both song and story as a massive earthquake is heading straight for LA! And so the lyrics take us on a 35 minute journey through all the phases of the crisis, "from pre-quake boredom, to post-quake freeway BBQ".

Juanitos: Soul Africa

Juanitos first showed up on our blog all the way back in June 2009. And now with more of great albums under its belt (including over 400 concerts and hundreds of thousands of downloads – if not more) I thought it might be a right time for a little re-introduction; especially that after our crazy winter I’m sure we are all in need of some ‘summer night party’ sounds.

Sleeping Sky: Remind the Past

Acoustic folk pop duo that makes you want to grab your pillow or cuddle up to the nearest couch. Sleeping Sky is a German based folk duo comprised of Desiree on vocals and Corinna on guitars. The duo creates dreamy and relaxing acoustic pop that will surely make you melt. Remind the Past is the duo's third release.

Cloud: Elephant Era

There's not much you can find about Cloud online. The thing is, Cloud is actually the artist name for New Yorker, Tyler Taormina. He's an up and coming musician that creates wonderful and enchanting music simply by singing and playing drums & piano simultaneously. This talented, young singer may not be a big name yet, but just by listening to his debut record; he's definitely got something up his sleeve. The compilation is composed of 11 tracks that incorporate indie pop rock and a hint of 80s synth sound. The record easily captures raw emotions and fleeting circumstances. Perfect for quiet moments or times when you just want to take a breather from everything around you. This is a nice album that's worth looking into. Go ahead, take a listen and fall in love with this artists' sound.

The project was put together by rapper Mopreme Shakur, brother of the late Tupac, and soon included ten tracks all being a remix of Youssou N'Dour's song "Wake up - It's Africa Calling". The purpose of the project was to address the most critical health issues in Africa by bringing greater awareness of and support for open source training/development for health workers across the continent.

Sick of Sarah: 2205

Sick of Sarah, a Minneapolis based power pop band, has recently put a version of their most recent album "2205" under Creative Commons license and on ClearBits.net. They have already accumulated almost 500k downloads by putting their album up on BitTorrent and hopefully we can double that number by promoting them on FrostWire as well. The girls are irresistible, sharp & play hard. This is their 5th album since the band's inception in 2005 and the free BitTorrent version available for download here contains 10 tracks, lyrics and some cool photos.
