Eric Delay: Four Moments

After years of absence, Eric Delay is back with an intriguing new EP that shows him in his best shape. Four Moments is the result of rediscovering his own music and style. The artist supposedly had to "deny all the familiar sounds of the standard moves, starting with a blank face, not knowing what to get" while he was creating the tracks. The compilation is composed of minimal sounds that resonate in an ambient electronic groove. From beginning to end, you get a beautiful airy atmosphere filled with subtle instruments and sample.

Receptacle Magazine is a quarterly digital magazine that focuses on anything about the arts. Founded back in 2010, the magazine interviews artists, shares music from various, exciting bands and overall, just showcases their love for art. Receptacle Magazine Vol#3 is the accompanying mix for their third issue. Consisting of 10 tracks from different artists that play music ranging from eclectic folk, indie & new wave to rock. Some of the bands and artists featured in the record include Boris Smile, Doctor KA, The House, Spazzkid among others.

Mike Roy: Mike & Eileen Chapter One

After years in the music scene, Mike Roy has finished his best work yet and it's ready to burn and wake-up the senses. Hailing from Raleigh, NC, this Lewisdale, Maryland-raised artist started his music by forming a band called The Whistlestop. After making a record and playing numerous shows, He went back on working solo in 2009 producing a home-recorded album entitled ShotFriction. Spanning a hefty 13-track collection, Mike & Eileen Chapter One is Roy's latest musical effort. It's a folk pop album fuelled by undeniable passion and musical talent.

Echoes de Luxe: Echoes de Luxe EP

This self-titled debut ep from Echoes de Luxe is filled with good surprises. It might be short, with only 5 tracks, but it beautifully showcases the band's range and musical style. The EP was released last 2009 and included a stellar mixer and producer in the person of Alex Newport and Pete Lyman, respectively. These two have worked with bands such as Jubilee, Mars Volta and Deathcab for Cutie. To top it off, the boys managed to secure airplay and performed live for Dave Navarro's radio show. Seems like a pretty good start for any band, right?

Wake Owl: Wild Country EP

You wouldn’t imagine that one album can make you feel so much. But Wake Owl’s Wild Country EP harnesses our deep emotions, growing them into a garden teeming with bittersweet symphonies. The Vancouver-based folk/rock collective is the creative brainchild of performer/songwriter Colyn Cameron. Written for over seven months and released last November 2011, this five-track EP has already made its own buzz in the indie scene.

L’Avventura: Your Star Was Shining

Formed in 2005, L'Avventura is a San-Francisco based band made up of Jeff Davis (vocals, guitar), Fergus Griffin (guitar, vocals), Aldo Silver (bass guitar, vocals), Stevie Utstein (cello, keyboards, vocals), Art McConnell(Drums), Shaina Evoniuk (violin, vocals), and Helen Aki (guitar, vocals). This 7-piece crew create a unique pop rock, alternative indie sound with emphasis on good songwriting and classic structures. Drawing influences from a diverse group of musicians like T-Rex, Bob Dylan, and even Belle and Sebastian; the band's sound takes the shape of different genres. Despite this diversity, their sound is still worth grabbing and listening to.
