Glow and The Forest

Glow and the Forest is an indie pop group that's made up of Micah Gettys, David White and Matthew Guay. This self-titled debut EP is their first foray as a group and it clearly offers something interesting to their listeners. Echoing a bit of the dreamy harmonies of The Shins with the quirkiness of The Flaming Lips, the trio is successfully setting themselves apart with their sound. Combining nice harmonies and great instruments, the album provides a nice little getaway for anybody willing to listen.

Home Brew Crew: Taste Test

Home Brew Crew has earned a status as one of New Zealand’s best hip-hop acts, showcasing the funky experience with a garden-fresh tactic and comical fore. Taste Test EP, released on June 2009, is just one of the five astounding albums that the band have released since 2007. Among their accolades is their self-entitled album, which won Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album at the New Zealand Music Awards.

Kesang Marstrand: Hello Night

Kesang Marstrand, a Tibetan-Danish singer, is a native of Woodstock, New York. She is an unusually gifted singer and composer that writes eloquent and emotional sketches. Marstrand reinterpreted Tunisia’s national anthem and for weeks, the version was broadcasted several times a day both on local television and radio stations. Her inspirations include Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Elliot Smith.

Tropo: FOUR

FOUR is Tropo‘s first studio album even though the group already splashed in the world of electronic since 2010. When you check out this group’s new album, you will be treated with burst of candy colors that offers actually the sort-of opposite but that is actually the exciting part.

The four rappers currently at the center of the Los Angeles-based Hellfyre Club include Busdriver, Nocando, Open Mike Eagle, and Milo. Hellfyre is known to be a tree that produces competent artists that undeniably dominate the indie hip-hop landscape.

Fingers of the Sun‘s 2011 self-titled release pays tribute to the well-loved sea, sand, and uneven tan lines. Hailing from Denver, this psych pop band is composed of Suzi Allegra, Nathan Brasil, Jamie Bryant, Fez Garcia, Marcus the Snail, and Meghan Wilson.
