Fauna: Have u ever talked to angels?

Have u Ever Talked to Angels? is Fauna's third and highly anticipated release. It's been long overdue (four years to be exact) and features gorgeous triphop darkwave sounds that's coupled with enigmatic vocals on several tracks. The album is filled with 10 tracks that embody different emotions and soundscapes; conjuring up an interesting dream sequence and a whole range of emotions ranging from fear to anxiety, uncertainty and self-assurance. Perfect for a moody afternoon.

Screenatorium: Blue Morning EP

Acoustic downtempo beats that makes you wish trip hop reigns supreme once again. Screenatorium is like the long lost trip hop band that should have come out of the 90s; back when it was still the heyday of trip hop music. Not to say that their style is outdated, but it certainly brings back a lot of 90s trippy bands to mind. Screenatorium is a French band primarily headed by composer and musician Djeh. He enlists the help of Nawelle Saidi and Nelly Burn on vocals as well as Niet who serves as official graphist. Their mellow music definitely sparks interest and is perfect for a relaxing afternoon filled with mood music.

Tab: The Freakout Tent

One producer/multi-instrumentalits plus one vocalist/lyricist equals one atmospheric and diverse album. The Freakout Tent is the third compilation from talented producer Anitek and rap lyricist/vocalist, Tab. These two go together like butter and bread. Anitek is known as a top trip hop producer, creating varied and interesting mixes to compliment any samples and vocals overlaid on a track. On the other hand, Tab is a rapper known for his solid verses. He hardly pulls witty one liners like most MCs like to do but instead relies on the structure of his lyrics to go against or flow with Anitek's sound.

Anitek: Anitek Instrumentals Vol.

Better half of trip-hop duo Tab and Anitek makes his own statement. Instrumental music is always a little tough to judge, simply because there are no vocals or lyrics you could cry out to and criticize point blank like it's off key, or too nasal blah blah. However, Anitek certainly changes that. Anitek Instrumentals Vol. 1 is filled with catchy tracks. It's more than just trip-hop, its old school rock, blues, jazz and everything in between all rolled into one beautiful sound. Anitek has had several LPs released under his name, including two other volumes for this instrumental compilation. This album is worth the listen if you want something to give you good vibes throughout the night.

L’autre endroit – A Golden Sound of Silence

Heavy guitar trip-hop all to the sound of Silence. Native Belgian, Vincent Gires, dubs himself as a Silence and creates music infused with trip-hop, industrial and ambient. Although some might argue about labeling his music as trip-hop when its leaning more towards straightforward industrial sound, there is no doubt that certain tracks on this album centers on thought provocation which is the core of trip-hop. Stop!, for instance, features a woman on the verge of being a victim to a crime. L'autre endroit compiles heavy guitars and synthetic beats that takes you for a ride into the unknown.

et_ presents The Agency of Missing Hearts

Electronic trip-hop and down tempo instrumental tracks that make you wish your break was longer than just 15 minutes. Et_ creates rockish, instrumental electronic music that resonates with maturity and great sense of balance. As long as you get over the fact that the title sounds like an up and coming emo band, you'll realize that et_ is really worth listening to. He incorporates fat sounding beats, tucks in a bit of acoustic on the side and some rock stuff to show you what he's capable of when it comes to software and guitars. Not bad for someone who got started in music playing a "half-broken guitar down from the attic."

I Am This: Spinning Into Control

Spinning Into Control by I Am This is a tightly-packed drum n' bass album. From fast beats to slow beats, and various electronica-techno breakbeats, this music album is surely packed with all those beats that can get you going from start to the end. This album features the popular track Sea of Something, garnering almost 1400 listens in Jamendo.

Starting Somewhere: Relax

Starting Somewhere's music album Relax features relaxing beats and melodies with a touch of trip-hop. Perfect as a lounge music, all of its 13 tracks greatly describe the album's name. Featuring Andy Natusch as the only member, this talented guy uses his own guitar, keyboard, turntables and beat machine to bring a fresh compilation of relaxing music to us.
