The Extended Play by Farmertan – a garage rock band bent in making their music heard

Maybe it's just me but it's hard to get over this band once you start listening to their songs. Farmertan is an indie rock band that composes tracks that makes itself so easily likable. If there's a special place for indie rock in your heart, it's hard not to find a place for this band somewhere in your heart. Farmertan hails from Connecticut and has been active in the band scene, touring and playing live since the 1990s. The Extended Play is one of the several EPs they've released since their inception.

The Walt – Something We Did Not Have

Solid indie pop rock band that incorporates shouty vocals with dancy rhythm. The Walt is the product of former band We vs. Death, Kismet and Dawn of Awakening. Something we did not have is their latest EP and a mixture of loud indie punk rock sound that gets anybody up and about. Something we did not have is the quartet's first EP after playing for 4 years together. Recorded under indie label, Beep! Beep! Back Up The Truck, all 5 tracks are available for free download under a creative commons license. If you are into plenty of head bobbing and loud indie/punk rock, take a listen and enjoy.

Plan X From The Eastern Dark (Compilation) – A Bittersweet Taste of Japanese Underground Rock

Underground Japanese Rock that makes you wish you were turning Japanese... I really think so... Although it might not be everybody's cup of tea, Japanese rock, punk and rock never got any better. Plan X From The Eastern Dark is a compilation album that showcases some of the best underground deathrock, punk and rockabilly acts waving their banner all the way from the land of the rising sun. If you've never tried your hand at anything else Japanese apart from sushi, then take a stab at listening to this one. You might not get most of what they're saying, but it's a good listen especially if you're into the genre.

The Trespass – Mirror Moon EP

Electro pop, new wave, glam with a touch of the 80s. Initiated as a simple project in 2001, The Tresspass is the brainchild of twin brothers Vincent C. (aka Blackell) and Benjamin C. (aka Kruwll). Their sound is a mixture of pop, rock, glam and new wave with long synth backgrounds and almost robotic vocals. They eerily sound like Inxs meets Nine Inch Nails along with an 80s tinge, which is unsurprising since the band cites them as among their primary influences.

The Destroyed Room “The First Six Months” – energetic punk rock beats

The Destroyed Room was conceived after Sergi (vocalist) simply got tired of letting everybody else create music and wanted to be able to records songs in his room. The band's songs range from complex, acoustic to typical, fast punk rock beats found usually in the garage punk scene. This album is full of fun tracks and slightly "emo-ish" vocals and lyrics.

“Greatest It” – a free ‘Best Of’ compilation from six great netlabels

"Greatest It" is a brilliant collaborative output of six cool netlabels who decided to work together to dish out a compilation that celebrates free music with each label's crowd of fans. Agreeing that by working together, they can gather up their audiences and introduce themselves to a bigger virtual crowd in the process, the six netlabels came up with 18 chill out, funky rock tracks to showcase some of the best free music ever released for free online.

Camp Z “Mental Straitjacket” – free punk/post punk/industrial album under Creative Commons

This album reminds me of Nine Inch Nails, less Trent Reznor vocals and more punk/post punk elements. Camp Z fuses together punk, post punk and industrial like a well-made milkshake. With Mental Straitjacket, the band has achieved a conundrum of noise industrial rock that takes the listener into the depths of his mind and forces him to stare at it right into the face. This is the band's latest album, counting back to their first release back in 2006. Camp Z is Manu Zorch, Dvrr, JP, and Mascozis creating music that conjures up visions of "a twisted oldfashioned echo."

J.E.L.L.i. EP – A diverse indie/hardrock EP fused with a playfull twist

Sometimes, you find yourself thinking that most Rock-inspired artists are humorless, noisy, and full of grudge. Well, true, but it’s very comforting to find out that there are few artists that may have attached their music to Hard Rock, but still knows how to be playful and witty. J.E.L.L.i. released his self-titled EP last September 9, 2009. This album is packed with 5 tracks that will blow your world. Featured tracks in this EP may be inspired of Rock origins. Licensed under Creative Commons, this EP is one amazing project that can either push or pull your emotions.

Alexx Calise “Morning Pill” – an energetic rock album with amazing vocals now promoted on FrostWire
