Be warned: contains gazillion explicit content, tons of metal, punk rock and lyrical comedy. From the funky video game intro in Girls Don't Play, it's hard not to laugh and enjoy listening to The Scare Bears. Their music can best be described as a cross between loud metal, electronic and comedy. Most of the tracks do contain heavy cursing and cussing as well as overall dark content. If you don't mind it, you'll definitely enjoy listening to Zombies are Everywhere. The album is made up of 16 tracks with quirky titles like Banana and Dumpster Diapers. If you like heavy but fun rock and don't have a big problem with cussing, then this album is worth checking out.

Inertia Blooms: Cours, Camarade, Le Vieux Monde Est Derriere Toi EP

Self-described "heavy mellow" rockers impresses with three song EP. Inertia Blooms is a quartet made up of Mitch Travis on vocals, Tim Hartin on guitars, Adam Betts on drums and Chris Traverse on bass guitar and laptop. Cours, Camarade, Le Vieux Monde Est Derriere Toi (which translates to"Run, comrade, the old world is behind you") is the band's first EP. As cheesy as "heavy mellow" might sound, the description is appropriate and it clearly impresses. These three tracks are definitely worth listening to, over and over again.

Quiet and surreal instrumental post rock from the land down under. With a quirky name like Sleepmakeswaves, you might think that the band plays shoegazer, indie rock. There's no denying that their music does bear a resemblance to this type of sound. The only difference is that they are on mute. Weaving metallic rock along with electronic textures, the band successfully creates a post rock instrumental opera. On the other hand, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving is a prominent prog-rock, jazz, noise band from Perth, Australia. Split LP is a result of the collaboration between these two bands; creating a sonic fusion of sound that can only be achieved when two different bands are in total, almost complete equilibrium with each other's sound.

The Freakout Tent is the third compilation from talented producer Anitek and rap lyricist/vocalist, Tab. These two go together like butter and bread. Anitek is known as a top trip hop producer, creating varied and interesting mixes to compliment any samples and vocals overlaid on a track. On the other hand, Tab is a rapper known for his solid verses. He hardly pulls witty one liners like most MCs like to do but instead relies on the structure of his lyrics to go against or flow with Anitek's sound.

Autonomadic: Lies, Fear, and Hate

Punk rock that takes you back to the Sex Pistols heydays. Lies, Fear and Hate by Autonomadic exhibits first class punk rock. The album is almost comparable to the great Never Mind the Bollocks if only they came out back in the 70s. Today, most people who listen to this album will just cry out and say it's first class imitation. Coincidental or intentional imitation, these guys do a pretty good job. Lies, Fear and Hate is filled with 20 scathing, energy driven punk rock, with a hint of underground grunge that will blow you away. This trio of Justin, Todd and Baker capture a sense of raw and punk energy that's hard to spot in bands today.

Quiet and dreamy; makes you think of floating on a piece of cloud. When it comes to sweet and relaxing stringed music, then Nic Bommarito definitely is a must consider. Even though he might look like a college boy, he is actually a very accomplished artist, professional and of course, musician. His first release, Taciturn, has gained a huge following and has become an instant favorite among folk and post rock music lovers. For his recent release, Harp Fragments, there are subtle differences but the sweet melody as well as the beautiful melancholy is still ever present.

Miss Daisy Black: Nevroses

Alternative pop grunge rock at the hands of the French. Grunge rock definitely works great in the hands of the French as proven by Miss Daisy Black. The band is composed of four band members exploiting alternative pop rock and occasionally acoustic rock. Nevroses comes equipped with 11 French rock tracks that showcases plenty of grunge style guitars, electronic beats and angst driven drumming. Most of the songs have an industrial/dancy feel to it and the vocals are interesting. Oddly enough, if you don't listen closely, you won't even notice that the guy is singing in French not English. If you are looking for a band that sounds like popular indie and Jamendo favorite, Fresh Body Shop, this album is a good way to start.

Anitek: Anitek Instrumentals Vol.

Better half of trip-hop duo Tab and Anitek makes his own statement. Instrumental music is always a little tough to judge, simply because there are no vocals or lyrics you could cry out to and criticize point blank like it's off key, or too nasal blah blah. However, Anitek certainly changes that. Anitek Instrumentals Vol. 1 is filled with catchy tracks. It's more than just trip-hop, its old school rock, blues, jazz and everything in between all rolled into one beautiful sound. Anitek has had several LPs released under his name, including two other volumes for this instrumental compilation. This album is worth the listen if you want something to give you good vibes throughout the night.
