With its poetic lyrics, dope beats and honest look at life; it's definitely an album worth checking out.

It's been long overdue (four years to be exact) and features gorgeous triphop darkwave sounds that's coupled with enigmatic vocals on several tracks. The album is filled with 10 tracks that embody different emotions and soundscapes; conjuring up an interesting dream sequence and a whole range of emotions ranging from fear to anxiety, uncertainty and self-assurance. Indie folk tracks from the crusader of free, legal music. Sean Wright is what you would call a constant advocate of the free music parade. The talented singer/songwriter and record producer has been a staple presence in the free music scene. Since 2007, he's been releasing one album a month and so far, he's still going strong. Almost his entire discography can be downloaded for free on sites like Jamendo. He has remained a constant presence on the online music scene and was also hailed by NME as a leading DIY artist.

Will Hammond Jr.: Soul Folk Continued

Neosoul progressive tracks with a touch of funk. Will Hammond Jr. likes to put on his sunglasses as he transforms into his alter ego, Soul Folk. Hammond is best known as a singer/songwriter who helped pen the Billboard hit for Tara Kemp, "Hold You Tonight." With the success of his songwriting prowess proven, he moves on to recording his own tracks and debuted his first album Soul Folk Continued in 2004.

Time Machine by Grunemusik might strike you as a bit "weird" at first, especially if you are completely clueless when it comes to J-pop, anime type of music. However, if you feel right at home in the genre, then this will fit perfectly in your playlist. The album is actually a set of tracks done by 6 different Japanese artists. Each of the songs are filled with electronic, atmospheric poppy beats with vocaloid tracks; definitely perfect as an anime soundtrack.

Bio chemists by day to prog rock minor gods at night, Disen Gage creates a fusion of jazz, rock and ethnic sound that doesn't shy away from complexities. Disen Gage creates music that incorporates highly intelligent/methodical rock and an experimental yet fun ethnic sound. The Screw Loose Entertainment easily passes off as a fourth King Crimson album.

It has become somewhat tradition during The Cologne Commons Festival to release accompanying records that help exhibit some of the best free and legal music in their part of town. trustno1: Unless…

Expressive progressive rock that lulls you to 80s dreamland. Okay, if you are like me and you speak nada French, then you might have trouble looking for and understanding information about this band. One thing is for sure though, Trustno1 makes bands like The Cure proud. Unless...is the groups 31st album release in Jamendo. It comes equipped with seven 80s inspired pop rock which extends to progressive mode once in awhile. It may not be the best there is on the genre, but it's certainly worth a listen.
