Amber Rubarth: Free EP

Amber Rubarth's music goes well with that morning cup of coffee as you stare out the window and enjoy the quiet morning. Thanks to this mesmerizing capacity, it's no surprise that Rubarth hailed by Deli Magazine as the Best of NYC Songwriter. Her songs spark a sense of pop adventure while also exploring the quaint charm of a girl in the big city. She's released several albums so far but this is the first free compilation she's put out. It's a collection of singles taken and compiled from every album she's released.

Jordan O’Shea: Her Name Was French Cinema

Despite being a home recording, the album exploits this to add a gorgeous, homey feel to each of the tracks. Coupled with great harmonies and simple instrument work; it's easy to drift along with each single.

Yellowbirddd: Missing

Liam McCormack is the man behind the ethereal indie folk outfit, Yellowbirddd. The moniker is a bit unusual but it does lend a nice touch to the sound that he creates. Armed with an acoustic guitar, a slight reverb and some endearingly sweet sound; Missing serves as a record to get lost into after a bad breakup or maybe if you simply need a breather from all the loud music . This is the third compilation from the Brooklyn, New York artist. His previous works include Random & Rare, Summer 2010 tour EP, and Hard Feelings which are all available as a free download over at his BandCamp page.

Phototaxis: Pretty Ugly

They're joined together by the talented crew of Nir Blum, Roy Cheled, Yael Geva and Neta Cohen Shani. The band is only a couple of years old, but they seem poised for success; having their debut record come out to critical praise in their home country of Israel. Fusing a lush set of tracks that echo jazz, blues and a trip hop atmosphere; Pretty Ugly is a strong record that aims to please its listeners and does it successfully.

With an album cover of a man holding a vintage camera filtered in sepia tone, this full-length pays tribute to bedsit bands of the past and present. Turkish Saddle offers twelve tracks all written, arranged, and produced by Alexander Yaker.

Daniel James: Comfortable Cage

Inspired by indie favorites Bon Iver, Racounters, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens and Kings of Leon, among others; it's easy to make Daniel James your new favorite if you like the music of the artists mentioned. Comfortable Cage flits between blueesy rock one moment and then moody folk rock to the next, entertaining the audience all the way through. The album itself is a couple of years old and was recorded at "ma and pa's house before they destroyed my studio and built a bigger kitchen... " according to the artist.

Trotting Bear: Morning

Trotting Bear's music should be synonymous to relaxing acoustic folk. The sound emanating from the beautiful guitars is enough to make you want to listen and just leave it playing for a good long while. The man behind the sound is Andy Berkhout, a singer songwriter who has had several albums and records released under his name. Trotting Bear is one of his side projects and serves as a short extension of his usual folk/Americana, lofi sound.
