Ben K Adams: Nonchalant

Bringing in a fusion of experimental trip hop and dance pop sounds, Nonchalant by Ben K. Adams is a nice little getaway compilation for those looking to enjoy a little time out on the dancefloor. This is the latest release from the artist and it combines his skillful guitar playing with his expert mixing skills. Nonchalant is a short EP but it's enough to entice the listeners and keep them hooked with the few tracks it has in tow.

Unhappy Free Orc: Broken People EP

With a name like Unhappy Free Orc, you can expect something eclectic and different from this compilation. The band is the brainchild of Marlon Moilanen & Miro Palokallio, they are joined by a group of talented musicians that help create their distinct sound. Broken People EP is a 7-track compilation consisting of songs that didn't make it the group's previous releases. According to the band, they might be "leftovers" but they consider them as among some of their best work.

Phototaxis: Pretty Ugly

Phototaxis is a special band that's made primarily of Yael Feldinger (lead vocalist and singer;) as well as Itay Tsuk (composer, arranger and pianist.) They're joined together by the talented crew of Nir Blum, Roy Cheled, Yael Geva and Neta Cohen Shani. The band is only a couple of years old, but they seem poised for success; having their debut record come out to critical praise in their home country of Israel. Fusing a lush set of tracks that echo jazz, blues and a trip hop atmosphere; Pretty Ugly is a strong record that aims to please its listeners and does it successfully.

Alexander Chereshnev: Unremembered Stardust

Artist and composer Alexander Chereshnev, has unveiled his latest project titled Unremembered Startdust. The EP comes equipped with 4 tracks that are both hauntingly dreamy and melancholic. The artist has been around the music scene since 2004, producing various types of music and releasing a few EPs. Among his first compilations was a short record titled Going Home. This was released under his then moniker, Siberian Son. After this first foray, he followed it up by releasing various vinyls, singles as well as contributing to different compilations including this latest record.

Banquise

Banquise is one of those groups that you wish you know more about. Playing a soft electro pop sound, the group is as much a mystery as they are a delight. There's hardly anything to be found online about them. Save for a sparse Facebook profile and a BandCamp page with nothing but just music and hardly any info, it's hard to find out more about this group. One thing that matters though is that their sound is delightful to listen to, with swirls of pianos, synths and a soft relaxing feel enveloped in between.

Makkadessia: Moonou

Progressive techno and dance don't get enough lovin' in the mainstream market but it doesn't mean it's not worth taking a listen to. Makkadessia is a duo made up of Yauhen Bardouski and Maxim Kuharenko; two young producers from Belarus. Moonou is the duo's latest release and hauls in a flurry of the house, techno, progressive and dub sounds with them. Released under Wavelike.net, the label specializes in offering electronic music that are licensed and shared for free under a Creative Commons License.

Koloah: Love EP

Another intriguing release from one of the most active electro ambient netlabels today; Cut Music is showcasing Kiev producer, Koloah, and making his latest effort Love EP, a part of their 2012 roster. The label has been sharing one great compilation after another and this is the 11th release from them. Most of their compilations have gained considerable attention and it's not hard to see why. In fact, several of these EPs were also also featured right here on the Frostclick blog.

Awake! Awake!: New Prime – Episode 5 Soundtrack

Making their second appearance here in the Frostclick blog is Murfreesboro, TN group, Awake! Awake! Their first album, We've Been Strangers, was released back in 2007 and was a haven of infectious riffs and indie rock goodness. This time around, they're not only brandishing a deeper, more mental sound; they're also playing it in support of Olan Rogers' short film series, New Prime.
