Braghetz: The Answer

Here is yet another outstanding album from Braghetz released through Viral Conspiracy Records. Take texture, noise and combine it with a hardcore music palette and you've got The Answer EP.

Mikaela Davis

Mikaela Davis charms our hearts with whimsical pleasures in her self-titled musical project. The harpist/singer-songwriter from Rochester brings new eclectic flavors to the indiescape with 13 well-composed pieces. Fluttering atop piano keys is Oh Brother. Davis surprises the listeners with her distinct vocals that curls and folds in the right places. While Where Will We Go follows with dream folk arrangement reminiscent of Camera Obscura.

OVERWERK: Conquer

Expect nothing less from OVERWERK‘s latest musical offering Conquer. This four-track release combines orchestra and electronic musings into a one-of-a-kind collection that fluidly translates sound into experience. Edmond Huszar a.k.a OVERWERK is a 23-year-old producer and songwriter from London, Canada who released his debut album last year and has since then creating waves in the indie scene.

People of Nothing: A Break to Cry

A Break to Cry is seriously an experimentally cold wave album. With its unusual approach in remixing of beats, synths, guitars combined with a melancholy and poignant vocals, People are Nothing will take you down to your thoughts and detached you from those.

The White Panda: Bambooyah!

Indulge yourselves on The White Panda’s 50-minute continuous mash-up album. Jam-packed with crazy ecstatic beats, Bambooyah! will definitely blow the steam off the night. Though the tracks may be brief snippets, every single one of them is a highlight. These are accentuated by the exciting diversions into psychedelic space.

Poison IV: Fly Society

In this day and age where the feminine figure is starting to establish its roots on various branches of this male-fueled world, it’s refreshing to hear them flip conventions too; that, as beautifully executed by Poison IV. Megan Hamilton, who prefers to be called ‘Poison IV’, is not to one to get stuck on one genre. Despite a predominantly “hip-hop-ish” packaging, she transitions from one style to another as she pleases, not minding that she’s dipping into alternative pop, rap, and R&B as well.

Noelle Ricci: In The Tapestry

In the Tapestry is the debut album of Noelle Ricci. According to Ricci’s Bandcamp post, this album is “about all constant emotions of fear, anxiety, and love that we face through our lives.” And this collection did not disappoint. The first few minutes of this track is addictively insane. Clutter will surprise you because it so unlike the usual pop tunes. Ricci’s voice is soulful but with a sharp edge that makes the track more powerful.
