Ben K Adams: Nonchalant

Bringing in a fusion of experimental trip hop and dance pop sounds, Nonchalant by Ben K. Adams is a nice little getaway compilation for those looking to enjoy a little time out on the dancefloor. This is the latest release from the artist and it combines his skillful guitar playing with his expert mixing skills. Nonchalant is a short EP but it's enough to entice the listeners and keep them hooked with the few tracks it has in tow.

Unhappy Free Orc: Broken People EP

With a name like Unhappy Free Orc, you can expect something eclectic and different from this compilation. The band is the brainchild of Marlon Moilanen & Miro Palokallio, they are joined by a group of talented musicians that help create their distinct sound. Broken People EP is a 7-track compilation consisting of songs that didn't make it the group's previous releases. According to the band, they might be "leftovers" but they consider them as among some of their best work.

Alexander Chereshnev: Unremembered Stardust

Artist and composer Alexander Chereshnev, has unveiled his latest project titled Unremembered Startdust. The EP comes equipped with 4 tracks that are both hauntingly dreamy and melancholic. The artist has been around the music scene since 2004, producing various types of music and releasing a few EPs. Among his first compilations was a short record titled Going Home. This was released under his then moniker, Siberian Son. After this first foray, he followed it up by releasing various vinyls, singles as well as contributing to different compilations including this latest record.

Banquise

Banquise is one of those groups that you wish you know more about. Playing a soft electro pop sound, the group is as much a mystery as they are a delight. There's hardly anything to be found online about them. Save for a sparse Facebook profile and a BandCamp page with nothing but just music and hardly any info, it's hard to find out more about this group. One thing that matters though is that their sound is delightful to listen to, with swirls of pianos, synths and a soft relaxing feel enveloped in between.

Makkadessia: Moonou

Progressive techno and dance don't get enough lovin' in the mainstream market but it doesn't mean it's not worth taking a listen to. Makkadessia is a duo made up of Yauhen Bardouski and Maxim Kuharenko; two young producers from Belarus. Moonou is the duo's latest release and hauls in a flurry of the house, techno, progressive and dub sounds with them. Released under Wavelike.net, the label specializes in offering electronic music that are licensed and shared for free under a Creative Commons License.

Koloah: Love EP

Another intriguing release from one of the most active electro ambient netlabels today; Cut Music is showcasing Kiev producer, Koloah, and making his latest effort Love EP, a part of their 2012 roster. The label has been sharing one great compilation after another and this is the 11th release from them. Most of their compilations have gained considerable attention and it's not hard to see why. In fact, several of these EPs were also also featured right here on the Frostclick blog.

Easystreet: International Supernatural

Easystreet combines flawless arrangements with haunting instrumentation in International Superstar. This electro dance album features ten tracks that are perfect anthems for your most glittering life moments. Hailing from San Francisco, Easystreet is composed of Micheal Blitzen (vocals) and Velvet Chang (synths/machine/beats). Upon listening to the duos music, there are evident traces of the early 80s disco pop, and the raw energy of rave and punk rock.

Colours of Melancholia

Colours of Melancholia is the one-man project of Berlin based musician, Sebastian. It's an album that leaves you great window seats to the artist's sonic exploration. Initially influenced by heavy metal, rock and punk; Sebastian says he's always been fascinated in sampling as well as experimental types of production. This interest then led to this self-titled debut record. The compilation is a lush landscape of sound; showcasing great use of beats, samples and synths to create a pleasing album worth noting.

Metameta: Yonderosa

Metameta's latest musical project, Yonderosa, is a splendid wonder of alternative electro music spiced up with a bit of folk flair. Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, Evan Miles Anderson is the man behind the great music. With Nick Drake, Boards of Canada, Koanna Newsom, and Kelpe as influences, this 15-track album released last August 21 is a surefire hit Leonine openns up the album with a subtle electro tunes sailing smoothly in a soothing musical arrangement. This short "intro" for the album sets a calming mood for the collection.
