The Patinettes: Bliss

Playing a mix of country, folk, rock and a bit of pop, The Patinettes certainly know how to reel listeners in. With their brand of music, this five piece crew from Zaragoza, Spain are slowly making the rounds and getting their name known among internet music lovers. Although there's not much about the band online, just one listen to their songs and you'll realize why they deserve a spot on your player. Filled with retro surf rock flair, beautiful vocals and a catchy bluegrass/country vibe; it's hard not fall for the album. The band is offering their record for free download over at Jamendo. Bearstronaut: Satisfied Violence

Released last June 2011, Satisfied Violence would have served as the perfect summer album. Ideal for those hazy summer nights when all you want to do is throw a summer party at your backyard with friends. Unlike focusing on their indie rocker side like their previous releases, this time around the boys decided to step into the 80s new wave dance vibe. So far, it's proving that the clothes fit them better. The album is laced with great beats and lovely poppy vocals to get you groovin' and dancin' all night long.

Flyafter: Today I’m With You

Flyafter is a Jakarta based band specializing in producing "beautiful pop melodies carving their way through a dreamlike foggy electronic soundscape." Part of 23 Seconds Netlabel, Today I'm With You is the band's (Rully Fahrezzyf, Hannan Jaya Mahardika, and Rully Luandri) second release after the more acoustic sounds of the self-titled EP. In their music, Flyafter combines various elements beginning from electronic, acoustic, to techno, shoegaze, indietronic, and pop. Although the band has been performing around Jakarta for quite some time now it was not until 2010, with the release of their first EP, that their music crossed continents for the very first time.

Helicopters: The Honey and the Hiss

Helicopters is a band that might just be your next big favorite, that is, if you're into electronic pop, crisp sounding guitars and some trippy airy vocals. Made up of Jason Caldeira, Brian Fifield and Dave Moran, the band is proud to admit that everything about them and their process is completely indie; from the songwriting, recording, producing and promoting their records, it's all just the three of them. Honey and the Hiss is the group's 5th full length album and released under the boys own label, FlyCasual Records.

Finding Fiction: Try This At Home

Finding Fiction is one of those bands that just sprung out of nowhere to fascinate, impress and titillate listeners everywhere. Their brand of indie pop is energetic and fun, with tons of quirky instrument use in between. With the help of Craigslist, the band first got together back in 2008. Things went by really quickly and within one year they already started touring and managed to release their debut compilation. Now a couple of years old, the guys are gaining better foothold than ever; dropping their latest EP, Try This At Home just last August 2011.

Interface: The Morning Light Project

Interface is the second EP from Italian crew, The Morning Light Project. The album is a great mix of retro 80s synth rock that bring to mind artists like, The Pet Shop Boys and Duran Duran. The band first formed back in 2008 and since then have churned out several releases through their Jamendo and BandCamp. Made up of Francesco Algeri, Angelo Cincotta and Augusto Ielo, the trio weave together a mix of danceable electronic ambient beats that became their ticket for gaining followers when they first started out. Their sound is charming and there's a lovely retro feel to it that makes you think of the good old heydays of 80s synth rock.

Young & Research II: Tough Love Sampler

Young & Research II gives you a great teaser on what to expect from the more than 5 year old record label, Tough Love. The compilation takes 13 tracks from the London-based label and compiles them to create one amazing record. It's been an exciting year for the label so far, they managed to release two of their first full LPs from Girls Names and Cymbals. They also gathered up an awesome set of tracks for Young & Research II. Most of the songs featured in the album include exclusives as well as brand new recordings from various artists. You'll find plenty of great new bands to like in this one.

Tote My Flag has everything any hip hop lover will enjoy like mad beats, catchy hooks, great vibes and awesome mic skills courtesy of Sytes and company. Ray Sytes is a Guyanese born rapper/musician that is proud to showcase his heritage as well as his love for Brooklyn and Queens. With a colorful repertoire and collaborations with some of the best producers and rappers, including a song with multi-platinum artist, T-Pain, in his previous record; Sytes is definitely bent on making more than a ripple on this big sea of hip hop.

Viola: Anything Can Stop Us

Viola is a Finnish electronic duo that knows how to create some fun, 80s infused dance pop electronica sound. On their website, they describe themselves as "Two guys influenced by beautiful heartfelt music, ass-shaking beats, sub-par humor and hidden messages." Indeed, they do create some fancy, danceable beats that make you want to gyrate your way down the dancefloor. There's also a nice blend of vocal work, instruments and electronic beats intertwined in this album. The record is the group's second album and the "first as an electronic duo."
