Rust by No, Really – Acoustic Folk Pop that Leaves You Wanting More

Sweet vocals laced with uncluttered instruments and emotional lyrics. If there's one thing you'll notice about No, Really right off the bat is that the vocals are extremely sweet and easy to listen to. Rust compiles 10 soft, electronic folk songs with mournful melodies and revealing lyrics. It's a brand of folk pop that's easy to love without even trying. No, Really's soft melodies will make you look back to your own heartaches, joys and sadness. All that from a girl from Tennessee with a guitar.

Paris-Chicago by NO [Olivier Nataf] – a Frenchman with a Heart for American Blues

American blues jazz with a French aftertaste. An almost fool-proof formula for creating pop funk music for this French singer includes a "few notes of Blues, a zest of Funk, a tear of Soul." Bizarrely calling himself, NO, French musician Olivier Nataf creates his own brand of blues jazz inspired tracks that are laced with French lyrics. Paris - Chicago compiles 10 tracks that serve as a bridge connecting the American landscapes to that of the French. If you wonder what the blues sounds like with an international flair, NO, would be one act worth checking out.

Tsk! by The Gasoline Brothers – New Album from “Lazy” Indie Pop Rockers

Fun and catchy, pop rock beats that give you a good sugar rush. From start to finish, this is one solid indie pop rock album. Okay, I admit, I immediately assumed that The Gasoline Brothers was an American band when I first heard Psychosomatic Heart Failure, but upon closer inspection, I realized that it said Netherlands! My apologies for assuming. Tsk! is one awesome album from start to finish. It's full of fun, pop, upbeat , alternative rock tracks that will get you bobbing at least one part of your body at some point.

Mountain Mirrors “The Immortal Deadbeats EP” – Psychedelic Acoustic Rock from Massachusetts

Dark, Zen-like, melancholic acoustic rock from the backwoods of Massachusetts. Released in April 2009, The Immortal Deadbeats is the fourth album from eerie rock group Mountain Mirrors. Brainchild of Jeff Sanders while incarcerated in some deep dark wooden forest reminiscent of Tim Burton's Wonderland; Mountain Mirrors is a collective collaboration with various other artists. All lending their talents, expertise and idiosyncrasies into creating this engaging 4 track EP. With a penchant for the offbeat, The Immortal Deadbeats EP is an endearing collection and a promising taste of what to expect from the group in the near future.

The Liquid Kitchen “2 Days A Night” – It’s the 70s All Over Again

60s/70s sounding rock with Neil Young soundalike vocals. People will love The Liquid Kitchen for the same reason that they love old rock and roll music. 2 Days A Night compiles one catchy track after another, tie it together with enjoyable lyrics, clean guitar licks and you have yourself a great rock and roll band. This is all on top of the Neil Young sounding vocals which is an obvious attraction in itself. Like their hometown of Texas, The Liquid Kitchen is a big act to watch out for. With their brand of simple, chanty lyrics and melodic rhythms fused with 60s and 70s rock, this band is surely no horse with no name.

The Singletons by The Singletons – British Mod Influenced Spanish Scenesters

No nonsense garage rock with a surfer's flair. When hearing The Singletons for the first time, you would automatically think it was an updated version of the Kinks. A mix of surfer music, brit pop rock garage combined with slightly offbeat enunciation. However, The Singletons are in fact from Barcelona and released their brand of music only about 2-3 years ago. Although this type of music has been played and re-played by various other bands, there's no doubt that it sill holds its appeal under the hands of this band. Check out their 11 tracks and judge for yourself.

Pondlife Fiasco by Heifervescent – Indie Pop Rock with Shimmering Guitars

Jangly mixed up pop rock music from Andy Doran's head. Heifervescent is essentially Andy Doran creating beautiful, sullen, sometimes dark but often melodramatic songs for his own and everybody else's pleasure. Doran echoes a Britpop flair in almost all his compositions and creates a nice synth orchestra background. Pondlife Fiasco is filled with 10 tracks that deal with various topics and subjects. It might not be an album that sends cupids arrow straight on like love at first sight, but it definitely gets to you after a couple of listens.

Sever “Coma Circle” LP – hardcore scream metal

With a great mix of hardcore metal and rock that will knock your socks off, Sever is a band worth listening to. With the traditional line-up change expected from a band that's more than a decade old, Sever's current lineup is as perfect as can be. Coma Circle features 10 tracks filled with energy and rawness that's hard to find nowadays. Perhaps the fact that they are relatively unknown (as of yet) adds to the appeal, but this German band certainly deserves a chance to be heard.

Dirty Wings by Josh Woodward – Pop Rock with Quirky Lyrics

The one-man alterno-acoustic livewire act from Ohio strikes again. One of the most consistent creative commons artists out there, Josh Woodward is definitely one artist to watch out for every time he releases something new. Dirty Wings is actually an older album from his entire collection, but like most of his work, its filled with catchy, pop, acoustic indie tracks that are nice to sing along to.
