Lohmé: I Love Disco Disco

Lohmé's I Love Disco Disco, is a cool pop rock French affair. When it comes to international bands, my gauge has always been; if it's sung in a language that I don't understand and it still sounds great, then it's worth listening to. I Love Disco Disco is the first full length record from the artist and it comes equipped with 11 tracks that surprisingly are more pop rock than disco. All of the songs are sung in French with the occasional English phrases. All of the songs are upbeat and easy to listen or head bob to, pretty cool French band to watch out for. Backwords: The Buffalo Still Roam

Backwords is a Brooklyn based band that combines psychedelic 60s rock with folk music. The end result is an eclectic, melancholic mix that simply sounds amazing. The Buffalo Still Roam is their sophomore release. They also released a third album, Quilt, which is available for purchase in limited edition Vinyl format. For this second effort, it's available for free download on the group's website. It includes 8 tracks that are filled with plenty of personality, great vocal work and nothing short of fantastic cuts. The lo-fi quality of the record actually adds to its beauty, allowing listeners to get lost in the warm melodies. Right now, the group is busy promoting their new record as well as performing live shows and gigs in and around New York.

Cecada: Fog at Midnight

Cecada's debut EP, Fog at Midnight, resonates romance with their moody indie tracks. It's a mixture of quiet solitude and mystery that makes you want to relax yet be on your guard. Cecada hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma and was formed back in 2007. This six track EP is filled with evocative sound that combines dark folk, indie pop and even silent dreamy shoegaze rock. Fog at Midnight successfully mixes a variety of musical genres without really losing the album's identity. The band is made up of Brian Rawson, Dougal Hansen, Micah Clopton, David Council, Andrew Bones and Mark Kuykendall.

Peter Lu: Roulette

WARNING: This game contains graphic images so please don't download if this isn't your cup of tea. Roulette is an experimental and disturbing game created by Peter Lu. I cannot stress enough that if you feel that the game will have a negative effect on you, then steer clear. This is a one button game where you'll find yourself sitting in a table from your opponent playing Russian roulette - you and your opponent take turns firing a gun at your head. The empty room makes the game even creepier than you might expect. Again, only give it a go if you think you have the stomach for it. This is a one button game where you'll find yourself sitting in a table from your opponent playing Russian roulette. Basically, the game is pretty simple, you and your opponent take turns firing a gun at your head. You may sit there thinking, the game is rather empty with just you two, and actually it is. However, that's what makes it creepier. The fact that it's just you and your digitized opponent playing a game of chance. Again, only give it a go if you think you have the stomach for it.

Machine of Death

Machine of Death is a best-selling book filled with a collection of interesting stories revolving around a single machine. In the book, there's a machine that tells you how you are going to die by using one drop of your blood; it takes this idea and compiles more than 30 stories about this dark but surprisingly entertaining concept. The whole idea came to Ryan North when an offhand comment by a T-Rex in Dinosaur Comics, triggered an onslaught of questions and possibilities. What is this machine made of? What are its capabilities? What if a machine like this did exist? What would you do if you do find out how you are going to die? All this and so much more are dealt with by more than 30+ contributors for this intriguing volume.

Survivor: The Living Dead

Haven't gotten over zombies yet? Here's another one you might want to take a chunk off. Survivor - The Living Dead is nothing new in terms of concept. You play a 20 year old girl by the name of Amber Chaplin who witnesses her brother's violent death in the hands of a zombie. To save herself, she flees and comes upon a large house that seems to be infested with the walking dead. Will she survive or will she turn into the next best grub for these zombies? Survivor definitely takes almost all the elements of a good zombie game and meshes them into one big and highly entertaining game. You get big guns, a heroine that's not immune to zombies and actually gets tired when sprinting too much and simply an awesome gameplay.

Radial Plus

Radial Plus is a unique little action game that was initially created for the Something Awful Game Dev Challenge. Although it may look like a typical arena shooter there is one cool twist with Radial Plus' gameplay. Instead of directly hitting the enemy to take them out, you would need to find a suitable angle and fire away before you can actually cause damage to the enemy ship. It's amazing how one little shift in game rules can affect the entire game. This minor change in gameplay results in a creative and challenging game that requires you to think ahead of where your next shot will go. Apart from this, the game is quite enthralling both in sound as well as in graphics. It's this little detail that makes this game worthy of your time.

The Nu Revolution Camp: Super Hero Theme Music Vol 1

What do you get when four of the best indie/underground artists form a crew and release a mix? Well, you get an indie hiphop supergroup. The Nu Revolution Camp, headed by FrostClick resident, Wordsmith, along with Kontact, Black Knight and White Folkz take underground hip hop to an entirely new level. Super Hero Theme Music Vol 1 is the first of several mixes from this talented crew. Just like superhero's, they breeze through rhymes like Superman sees through lead and drop beats like Batman knows Gotham City. It's definitely a fun album worth checking out. It's all about cool beats, amazingly tight words and definitely plenty of fun.

My Bubba & Mi: How it’s done in Italy

Probably one of the best folk record released for the year. The beautiful sound of My Bubba & Mi originate from three lovely ladies from Denmark. All three of them carry their instruments and create some of the loveliest, melodic, folk tracks you will ever hear. It might sound like an overstatement, but if you adore relaxing folk music, then this is a must have record. By coincidence or fate, My Bubba and Mia, became roommates in Copenhagen. They discovered each other's passion for music as they spent the many months together. Sharing laughters, singing and practicing. An invitation to head for Italy knocked on their doors; soon enough the girls found themselves heading home with a record on hand. Truly a wonderful album to listen to. It's hard to imagine why this is being offered for free but I'm not complaining. Awesome download right here.
