My Favourite Things

Encapsulating beauty and innocence, My Favourite Things is that kind of film that you'd want to watch over and over again. Directed by Edward Styles under kidswithcrayons production, this five minute short film shows the innocent tale between two friendsk who meets in the most unlikely manner. It has already rounded the festival circuits including a latest selection on the Little Big Shots International Film Festival last 2011.

Metameta: Yonderosa

Metameta's latest musical project, Yonderosa, is a splendid wonder of alternative electro music spiced up with a bit of folk flair. Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, Evan Miles Anderson is the man behind the great music. With Nick Drake, Boards of Canada, Koanna Newsom, and Kelpe as influences, this 15-track album released last August 21 is a surefire hit Leonine openns up the album with a subtle electro tunes sailing smoothly in a soothing musical arrangement. This short "intro" for the album sets a calming mood for the collection.

Shellee Shae: Me vs Me

Loose your feat on the dance floor with Shellee Shae's 2011 release Me vs Me. In this 12-track album, the Boston rapper gives us a rich slice of hiphop and r&b heaven. Ladies Night opens up the album with heay tumping beats and layered rhytmic vocals. Shellee's powerful voice showcase his imperial command of her chosen musical genre.

John Milton: Paradise Lost

One of 17th century’s most notable pieces of literature, John Milton’s Paradise Lost takes on the story behind humankind’s first disobedience resulting in the banishment of Adam and Eve from paradise. Throughout the epic poem, Satan is set in different positions that underline his constant efforts to be in battle with God in order to defeat Him eventually. At the beginning of the story, Satan, together with other fallen angels, creates Pandemonium in hell to serve somewhat like their home turf, their headquarters wherein they decide to destroy humankind as their assault.

Arrange: New Memory

Malcolm Lacey, the man behind Arrange, brings to us New Memory, an ambient experimental album that reaches the upper echelons of musical bliss. Nineteen year old Malcom Lacey has shown a magnificent talent with chill/ambient sounds that’s evident from his previous album, Plantation, which was also featured in FrostClick. In New Memory, the Portland, Oregon-based musician presents us twelve mouth-watering tracks that oozes emotion, precision, and style.

Epithets: A New Tradition

Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, the Epithets are Nick, Lisy, Simon, Dwayne and Alison. The five piece post-punk band plays a wide variety of instruments ranging from an electronic violin to the glockenspiel and melodica meaning you can expect a somewhat minimalistic and classy touch to the traditional indie punk genre. A New Tradition is their latest EP continuing their prolific nature from their much lauded debut LP “Year of Glad” released on the previous year.

Oh! Hello: Beachy EP

Oh! Hello brings you closer to sun-kissed waters in Beachy EP. The Portland-based band of Michael Todd Berland, Jordan Strickland, and Nate Morse is back for another expedition on the chillwave universe. The band’s inclination to use places as themes is evident in this EP and also with their other albums like Spooky which was also featured on Frostclick. Featuring five tasteful tracks, this EP is a calm breather for those hectic days.

One Step Forward

At first you wonder why this film won the 48 hour film project, was selected to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival, and gathered awards like the judges had no choice. It began, after all, with plain looking person who appears happy yet dirty and in his long sleeved polo shirt and slacks. That is of course until you reach that part that made your heart skip a bit.

GOM

A story of courage and bravery, GOM streches our imagination with a kick of comical humor. The film was created by the talented team of Anthony Delliste, Tristan Evin, Maxime Guillemin, Florent Razafimandimby, and Alexis Vallauri for ESMA. With a 7-minute runtime, the film tells the story of Gom, a young boy who works in Acme Circus. Despite his fear of turning soft after hearing a loud noise, he tries his best to overcome this weakness.
