Tymphony: A Wish for Awaking in the Dream

Bringing you fun and energy-filled symphonies, A Wish for Awaking in the Dream will surely awaken your senses. Formed in 2004 at Bosphorus University, the Istanbul-based band Tymphony derives its name from the combination of the words "tempo" and "symphony". This ten-track collection encapsulates their name as it features a rhythmic mixture of oriental ambient, symphonic forms, and icelandic elements.

El Vendedor Humo

From the school that created FriendSheep, PrimerFrame, comes another short film that will transport the audience to a whimsical visual experience. El Vendedor Humo (The Smoke Seller) is a 6-minuter animation that tells the story of a mysterious vender who transforms and deceives a sleepy town through his magical smoke. It’s directed by Jaime Maestro and produced by Carlos Escuita.

Fey Moth: Flesh Foam Bread Bone

This three piece music group hailing from Seattle, Washington have a really eccentric taste for electronic music. In a way it feels like listening to something made for the evenings that end with a good drink or a smoke. What makes their album fun is that there is a supernatural element at work, an x-factor that can incite the most languid sensations and make you break out and dance inside the room.

Andrew Jonathan’s self titled compilation is a seven track album of acoustic goodies. It is easy to the ear with a grunge like outfit to polish the commercial needs of the listeners. Maintaining focus though can be a bit difficult because of the singer’s gruff tones suddenly springing out from time to time, but still, it doesn’t spoil the good music that it is.

Coroner for the Police: Gentleman’s Relish

They are the Coroner for the Police. They are a 1920s mobster rock-punk band with a penchant for a good suit. They are the fact and the reason why you will have loads of fun listening to music for the next couple of minutes. Hailing from the United Kingdom, Dave, Nathan, John and Dan formed the band at the start of 2012 in a clingy warehouse then gigs followed wherein beers were drunk and friends were made.

Death in the Afternoon: Singles & B-sides

Death In The Afternoon‘s May 2012 release entitled Singles & B-sides is a sonic goldmine for electro dance enthusiasts. Hailing from Sweden, this five-piece band is composed of Christian (vocals/guitasr/synth), Albin (guitar/synth), Linda (bass/synth), and Rasmus (drums/synth). There is a distinct brand in Death in the Afternoon‘s music that you wouldn’t hear in any other band. The musical infusion of rock, 80s influence, new wave, and electro make a solid foundation for the collection.

Eric and Magill: Two Travellers

Accomplished musicians Ryan Weber and Eric Osterman collaborates together to create the must hear album entitled Two Travellers. In this six-track collection, the killer duo creates cosmic soundcapes for shoegaze lovers. Originally from Milwaukee but currently in separate corners of the world (Weber in Kenya and Osterman in Brooklyn), these two long-time friends proves that distance is not an issue in creating good music.
