Smashy Road: Wanted

Smashy Road Wanted from Remco Kortenoever is a retro style racer with the pixelated graphics and style that will bring back memories of the good old video arcade. The game, set in an isometric view, isn’t exactly an adrenaline pumped game, but it’s not lacking in excitement either.

Slow Down

There are basically two kinds of games on mobile, the complex ones that require you to invest time in them, and the others that are aimed at casual gamers who only play in spurts and just want a diversion. Slow Down by Ketchapp is one such game, offering a simple gameplay that anyone can get into.

Star Wars Uprising

Star Wars Uprising is a role playing game from Kabam, and has many of the elements you’d expect from an RPG game with elements of Star Wars. The connection to the movie franchise is going to please fans, but even if you’re not a big movie fan, you’ll enjoy it as an action RPG title.

Two Dots

Two Dots from Playdots is an addictive puzzle game, and it’s been downloaded more than 20 million times on iTunes, testament to how good it is. The objective here is to connect dots with similar colors horizontally or vertically, and if you find squares in the board it’s going to help, but there are a lot of other factors that come into play.

Planets

Planets from Q Continuum is the app that’s going to take you to the planets and stars. It’s educational, but it’s a lot of fun too, combining features of astronomy with a planetarium, and the presentation makes for an engrossing exploration of the constellations and planets.

Bullet Boy

Bullet Boy is new for 2015, but this offering from Pomelo Games bears a strong resemblance to classic 90s sidescrolling games. The premise is simple enough: you shoot Bullet Boy from barrels and steer clear from the obstacles that are in your path. It sounds easy, but you have to be on your toes to get far.
