Windows Vista – Customization Manual [Book of How To’s] by Rich Robinson

Windows Vista - Customization Manual [Book of How To's] is written by Rich Robinson, the creator of minthywhite.com, a very helpful Windows Guide website. This is a second of his free e-books. The first one, [insert link to the post here] "Windows Vista - The Pocket Guide" covered the basics of customizing, improving, and organizing your Windows Vista machine. "Windows Vista - Customization Manual" goes more into detail about the customization process itself teaching the user how to make their computer's operating system work as if it would be created just for them.

The Franks: Un E.P.

The Franks is an indie punk band from Los Angeles, California. In 2008 they've released their debut "album" entitled "Un E.P." under a Creative Commons license. I put the word "album" in quotes because they zoom through the material in under 15 minutes with 2 songs being in the area of one minute (maybe that's why is it called "Un E.P.)! Aside from their length, the songs are actually pretty fun and enjoyable.

Grace Valhalla: PEAK~

Grace Valhalla is a young, fresh female French DJ & composer. To date, she's released four albums - "PEAK~" is her second. It's the most electronic of her creations and definitely worth a listen. Download the Zipped Album & a torrent file here.

Sita Sings the Blues

Sita is a goddess separated from her beloved Lord and husband Rama. Nina is an animator whose husband moves to India, then dumps her by email. Three hilarious shadow puppets narrate both ancient tragedy and modern comedy in this beautifully animated interpretation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Set to the 1920's jazz vocals of Annette Hanshaw.

Drunksouls: On verra plus tard…

Drunk Souls is a totally independent Reggae/Rock/Funk band from France. Their songs, written both in English and French, are sometimes fun & playful, sometimes dark & sad, but always very insightful and strong. I think it is the ever-present bass that makes them so powerful, but check them out for yourself.

Cube

This is an oldy-but-goodie. Cube was first released in singleplayer mode in January 2002 and had multiple updates all the way up to 2005. The game and its engine (which also called Cube) were developed by Wouter van Oortmerssen, a Dutch computer programmer. The game was always very well reviewed and it even received an award for "Best Free 3D Action Game" in 2003. It runs on almost all operating systems, it features both singleplayer and multiplayer gameplaya and even has a build-in level editor.
