InShape: Reversible

Apparently, fortune is reversible, and electronic music’s unprecedented surge (or resurgence) is one of the best things that happened during the last three years. InShape is one of the acts brought in to the scene by the electro wave, and the duo — composed of Antoine Abela and Olivier Boutinaud — are taking a stab at production fame with their debut, Reversible.

Singleton: Uncovered

Amid the political instability happening at Ukraine’s capital, Kiev might have produced one of the year’s most promising bands: Singleton. The quintet’s formation goes back a decade earlier, where they started building a name in the forefront of Ukraine’s indie scene via their raw sound. gorgeous bully: The Young Obese

If, and only if, you ever get to encounter a ‘gorgeous bully’, you should know that fighting back isn’t an option. This clever title is the moniker of Thomas Crang, a Manchester-based musician who has helped transition the act from a solo project to a band effort.

James Bay: The Dark of the Morning

Some scot-free acoustic goodies, comin’ up! Courtesy of James Bay. This young Brit only has this EP to boast, yet its a production that can be mistaken to those who are already years in the biz. Heck, Bay even has a Vevo account!

Oddepoxy: Oddepoxy

When’s the last time you heard a great rock record? If the answer is “light years ago,” then now would be the time. Fortunately, Oddepoxy has got us covered with its impressive full-length, the self-titled Oddepoxy.

The Simple Carnival: Aliens

It’s a ‘simple carnival’ ride with the 70’s radio sensibilities of the Aliens EP. The Simple Carnival is the pop brainchild by Pittsburgh-based musician Jeff Boller, who solely plays all the instruments in this EP; ‘Aliens’ is a sampler of his 2008 album, “Girls Aliens Food”.
