Ever wanted to create icons for your Android apps? With Adapticons by Damian Piwowarski, you can do just that. The app gives you control over the icon colors, mask shape and more. For all the things it can do, Adapticons is easy to use. If you are not satisfied with icon packs then this is worth a look.
When you open Adapticons you will be presented a listing of all installed apps. Choose one and you will be brought into the customization screen. Once there you can choose the shape like round, square and other unusual shapes. One of the nice things about Adapticons is that it senses the major color of the app and uses it.
After choosing the shape you have the option to increase the size, manually replace the color, rotate and so on. You can also drag the icon and have it off center or in the middle. And if you are really particular about the color, you can also specify the hex value or utilize an installed icon them pack.
There are a lot of customization options in Adapticons, and the best way to learn is by using it. You can use Adapticons to change icon shapes – turn them to circles for example – but retain the colors. You may also enlarge the icons to see them better etc. There are a lot of possibilities here, and that is what Adapticon is about, allowing you to exercise freedom in creating icons.
