Drive Ahead! by Dodreams pits cars against each other, gladiatorial style. The goal is simple, smash your opponent’s head and get points and coins and move to the next level It’s simple, fun and gives you a lot of vehicles to choose from, including forklifts, garbage trucks, tanks and so on.
The more you win the more vehicles you’ll be able to use, and the more arenas you’ll be able to play. Each battle lasts just a few seconds, and you have to be quick before dangers suddenly appear. There are only two controls, the left and right arrows, so it’s easy to get into the game.
You can play against a friend or compete with the AI. The single player mode also has a King of the Hill mode, and there’s mission mode where you have to finish various objectives. Thanks to the multiple modes, there’s plenty in the game to keep you occupied.
The 2 dimensional design works well for the game, and the physics are pretty good as well. The classic style graphics add a nice touch and should appeal to retro gamers. Apart from the immersive gameplay you’ll love the different vehicles that you’ll be able to use against your opponents.
Drive Ahead is a simple, fun game, and it has spawned similar games. However it’s better if you played this as it’s still one of the best of its kind. Even though the game has a rather deadly concept, the gameplay and graphics make it humorous and engaging.
