Handbrake Velvet by Meagan Harrington has a very simple objective: all you need to do is park a fast moving car. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Pop the handbrake, park your car and try not to crash into anything. But as is often the case with mobile games it’s not that simple.
You only have two options, go left or right, but the real challenge is you have to get the timing right especially when you make a pivot. Unless you calculate this properly there’s a good chance you’ll end up crashing in the other parked cars. All is not hopeless however since with some practice you’ll be able to get it right. You use your finger to direct whether your car goes left or right, and work on your tapping until you get to the right parking spot.
The ultimate goal is to score points, and there are several milestones you can get. Park ten cars in one run and you get 100 points, being able to retry 25 times in one session also nets you a bunch of points and so on. While the number of options in the game may be limited, trying to park cars is a lot of fun and the nice graphics will keep you interested in the game.
The animation in Handbrake Velvet is smooth as well. While you cannot yet upgrade your car, they’re changed at random, and the fact that the game does not require an Internet connection is nice so you can play this any time.
