Tinder is an app that gives you the chance to meet interesting people. Yes, it’s a dating app, but unlike other apps, it will help you find matches with people who are near your area so you can meet them. However, it protects your privacy and you’ll remain anonymous until you inform the app you like the person.
Tinder works by using the GPS in your device and information on your Facebook page to create your profile. However, nothing on Tinder will show up Facebook. Your profile will only consist of your photos (you decide which ones to use), your first name, age and pages you have liked on Facebook.
The app will then look for possible matches using age and distance. To “like” swipe right, and to “pass”, swipe left. If you like them and they like you, you have found your match and you can start sending messages. To help come up with better matches, the app has “Tinder Moments”. What this means is you take a photo which is transmitted to all your matches. They can then either like it and swipe right or say nope and swipe left.
Moments is a nice feature and makes it easy to keep track of those who liked you. Another nice thing about Tinder is it’s fast. You don’t need to spend hours creating a profile since the app does it for you. In addition, Tinder works in a natural way, in that you like people based on their likes and physical appearance. Finally, the app’s design makes it easy to use.
