Muzzy doesn’t really work as an alternative to iTunes. Instead this app, developed by Pedro Vieira, Celio Silva and Raphael Lopes, works with iTunes to deliver the music you want. If you’re an iTunes user, you’ll find that Muzzy makes things so much easier. Some of its features include sliding lyrics, track notifications, artwork timebar and more.
If iTunes is not running just click the menu and it’ll start up. Just click the app’s menu bar and you will see the current track’s album art, and the app will also let you know which portion of the track you are at. Your cursor by the way, trails, for easy skipping. If you want to switch to another track, just click at the top upper corner.
If your tracks have notes or lyrics, Muzzy will display a small tray under the art cover, and you can hide this anytime. But Muzzy doesn’t just store lyrics though, but notes as well, and syncing this with an online music service is going to keep your music data updated.
The default settings work just fine in Muzzy, but if you want to make changes you can do so at the Settings and Preferences menu. Also, the program is integrated with Last.fm and for that reason alone a lot of people will probably want to give a shot. In addition, the program interface is really attractive, and there’s also a cool plugout setting that will shut down the music if your earphones are unplugged. In other words, Muzzy is a very fine addition to iTunes.
