Major Mayhem from Adult Swim is a shooter pure and simple. Major Mayhem is a dude with serious case of itchy trigger finger. He’s a one man army, and if you want a taste of over the top action, you can’t go wrong with this one. There are a lot of action and rail shooter games on mobile, but this is one of the best.
The Major’s wife has been abducted, and you’re going to have to shoot and blast through several levels and go through terrorists, ninjas, and agents to find her. After you are deployed by a chopper, it’s time to start shooting, all the while taking cover in rocks and walls to avoid enemy fire.
Because it’s all run and gun, the screen is clear and just has a pause control and score counter. You can tell how many times you’ve been hit by what the Major isn’t wearing. One hit causes him to lose his helmet, while a second hit causes him to lose his shirt, and the third will leave him dead. However your health can be restored by saving scientists that appear at various points during the game.
The controls in Major Mayhem couldn’t be simpler: Just tap the spot where you want to fire and use multiple fingers for rapid fire action. The faster you can kill your opponents the higher your score will be. If you’re after high scores, this is perfect. Adult Swim has produced a lot of fun tongue in cheek games, and this is certainly a good one.
