In Avengers Alliance for the iOS you assemble Marvel’s mightiest heroes like the Avengers, X—Men, Spider Man and others to do battle against Loki, Dr. Doom and other dastardly villains. This game from Marvel Entertainment, which requires an Internet connection, boasts more than 28 heroes, 400 plus items and more. This game by the way, isn’t linked to the Facebook version.
Once again the Earth is in peril and SHIELD has to recruit heroes to battle the super villains. You play a new SHIELD member and you have to team up with Marvel’s heroes to stop the threat. There are over 60 missions here and literally hundreds of quests, the majority of which are turn based fights. But you can also send out some of the heroes on side missions to gain experience.
Avengers Alliance also lets you train the heroes so they can use more powers and abilities. This is a feature that you will need in the more difficult battles and can make a huge difference. There is also a vast amount of RPG style mechanics here, and many fighting stances can be used.
For all its features, Avengers Alliance is easy to pick up since the gameplay is simple. But what really makes this game shine is you have to work with your friends on most missions, so it’s more compelling. And if you’re a comics fan, especially a Marvel fan, this will be a lot of fun. It’s not just the graphics and the sound, but the special effects are among the best on the iOS. The fact that you need to do some strategizing and also some RPG elements adds a real nice element to the game.
