Pocket (which used to be known as Read it Later) is an app that lets you save entire web pages so you can view or read them later. Developer Idea Software may have changed the name, but in terms of features and functionally it’s better than ever, and just easy to use.

Pocket makes it easy to sync bookmarks across different devices, and of course you can use it to save web articles, videos, images and entire web pages so you can view them offline later. You can also queue these downloaded files. For example, you can use it to save a video on your phone and then watch it later or transfer the file to your desktop.

After signing a free account on the Pocket website you’ll be able to create a list and save items. If you find anything online that you want to save, just hit your device’s share button and the file will be saved. On the Settings menu you can choose to save a full web page or you can save only the video links, captions, images and text.

There is no limit to the number of files that Pocket can save, only your device memory. But you can move the content to an SD so that isn’t a problem. The Android version of the app has support for Text to Speech, meaning your bookmarked content can be read aloud to you.

When it comes to bookmark syncing and caching files for offline use, it is hard to beat Pocket. It is a very convenient app, one that you might find yourself using daily.
