Did you ever put together a mixtape (or to be more time appropriate a mp3mix) to give it to someone special, or did you ever got one yourself? Yes, it might be a little bit old-school and some might even call it cheesy, but down deep inside we all know it is pretty – awesome. Well Mr. Devito you should feel special because MixGalaxy Records just ‘gave’ you a little gift of music.
The compilation brings you one hour of great tracks ranging from easy listening, rock, and pop to ambient, dub, hip-hop, and electro-house. So give it a try… and a listen.
MixGalaxy Records, a Russian net-label, had released a number of amazing compilations, some of which appeared on our blog even all the way back in 2009 (including Downtempest Hits, Restin – Not So Scary LP, and Winter Tales).
This time they returned with a special selection of artists from both sides of the Atlantic and a multitude of genres to once again play with our senses.
So there is YARA, from Volgograd, Russia with its ambient, noise, chill out beats and Without Time, a young indie/rock band from Grodno, Belarus giving us a sample of their first-ever released song “Trap” (definitely worth keeping an eye on). There is something for the lovers of acoustic guitar (Federov Mark), a track by a Russian-Norwegian electronica duo Zunzagi with some amazing vocals, electronic/dance sounds of Gipa that will make you want to jump in on a crowded dance floor, a progressive-ambient Russian duo Waterplea (with its incredible track “Spring Reprise”) and a little addition of hip-hop from Alexander Chereshney (feat. High Knowledge Crew).
It seems that Mr. Devito’s group of international friends is growing.
A word from the Record Label: “If by any chance you are an acquaintance of Mr. DeVito – make sure to pass him the link, that will do us all a big favor.”
