Tired of your desktop icons that you see each time you turn on your PC or Mac? Don’t fret; Louie Mantia is here to save your day. From icons and wallpapers, Mantia really gets it going – and he gets it going really cool. Various designs inspired by Star Trek, Wall-E, Nightmare Before Christmas, Willy Wonka, Pokemon…and a whole lot more! You can even use them to add a bit of jazz to your iPhone. Oh, and the best part? Everything is for free.
Louie Mantia works for the IconFactory as an icon and user interface designer in Greensboro, North Carolina. A certified Mac lover, he designs icons with rounded edges, most often resembling the sleek style of the Mac. He also has available icons for the iPhone, so if you want to spice up your iPhone, you are also free to do so.
The IconFactory offers a lot of freeware downloads, especially icons that have been made by Louie. Louie has a collection of a lot of cool icons with themes ranging from Flurry (iPhone icons for your computer), Wall-E & Eva (inspired by Disney’s smooth and sleek Eva with grudge-looking Wall-E), Willy Wonka (with bits and pieces of Wonka’s famous chocolate bars), Adobe CS4 (icons flavored with CS4’s taste), and Pokemon (like a Pokeball for your desktop.)
Aside from fun icons that are sure to pop your desktop, he also makes some fun wallpapers or ‘desktop pictures’, as he calls it. He now has wallpapers which are obviously inspired by “Alice in Wonderland” (perhaps because of Tim Burton’s upcoming movie?) with fun names like ‘The Red Queen’, ‘The Mad Hatter’ and ‘Tweedledee and Tweedledum’. He also has a lot of other wallpapers which really brings out the artist in him.
Louie Mantia icons and desktop pictures are available at the Icon Factory as freeware. So kick up your desktops a notch up and never get bored with your computers’ icons – ever!
