This album is a compilation of tracks from new, unsigned & independent artists featured at UARADIO.NET. It’s also the first (and hopefully one of many to come) legally distributed over P2P network under Creative Commons license. Over 500 bands showing their work on UARADIO.NET submitted tracks for this album. The compilation contains only rock tracks but in all shades of rock – some are more country, some more pop, some even have a bit of electronica feel to it. The variety is definitely there!

Octalux is the premiere rock/punk band in Lexington, Ky. With more than 10 years of performing and 4 CD’s to their credit, they are set to burst onto the world of rock.

I am in an project for multi genre music. At the moment it is electronica and aiming at dance, house, lounge, ambient type but are looking to mix metal with dance beats. You never now what direction my stuff takes.

Fake Elegance

Fake Elegance creatively combine modern electronic-synth sounding with expressive-delicate piano roulades, punchy-tasty rock guitar riffs, and sexy-charming female pop vocals. All of the above makes their songs gentle but energetic at the same time, and close to each and every person.

UARADIO.NET is an internet radio station that streams music by independent artists and unsigned bands. Their station reaches audiences all over the globe and is a great way to find new independent music.

    I work in their Marketing department in Milwaukee, WI, and am trying to spread the word. We’re a local engine manufacturer and host a stage at Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival (http://www.summerfest.com/flash/#). We’ve had some pretty big acts show up in the past like Gnarls Barkley and O.A.R., but are hoping this Battle of the Bands contest will take the cake. We think it’s a pretty sweet idea, but take a look for yourself and let me know what you think. All you or your friend’s band has to do is upload a song for users to vote on. If they win, we’ll pay their way to come party with us in Milwaukee…and trust me, that’s one thing we know how to do here. We’ll fly the winning band out to Summerfest, put them in a hotel, and let them play their set on our stage.
